I was surprised how little tape I needed and how well it held the over weight boxes together. Definitely a must have for all shipping needs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to pack some union financial records and wanted to ensure they wouldn't spill out the boxes into my trunk in transport so i taped the tops on the boxes using this heavy duty shipping tape. When I arrived at my destination the boxes had shifted around in the trunk but the boxes were still in tact and sealed.

Bought shipping and packing tape for a move. It just kept lifting off. At one point I was lifting a box off the ground and my foot stuck to a piece of lifted tape. The whole bottom came open Definiely NOT using this on my next move (a month from now)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the tape itself. It is strong and is easy to place and seal on any package. It took several minutes and a good pair of readers to get the tape started off the roll. I soon realized when trying to stretch the tape out, that the grippers on the tape dispenser are located too close to the tape roll. Pinching and gripping in the designated spots seem to inhibit the roll of tape to spin. Just a design flaw.

I've struggled with masking tape, brown paper and string, glue, various forms of tape, so I was quite pleased, as the years passed to discover Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape. Not only is it easy to use, it performs exceptionally well. No matter the distance nor the carrier, since switching to Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape I have had no problems or complaints. This particular tape is also quite helpful when packing boxes around the house to store, move, or take to the consignment shop with items to sell. Whatever the job, Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape is the tape I choose. My only complaint is that Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape wasn't available sooner--it would have certainly saved me a lot of time, headaches, and frustation!

In the past when I used the cheaper brands, the tape stuck together or would get tangled up. I wasted half a roll. The last time I moved, a friend brought me some other brand of packaging tape and I apologized and stated I only use Scotch "Packaging Tape." I also use it around the house for items that need repairs. I also love the Scotch "Painters Tape." It is a wonderful product not only for painting jobs, but for jobs that you need to tape items to other surfaces.

I had to move all my belongings into storage and I needed very strong tape for all my heavy boxes holding my delicate vintage dishes, books, etc. Scotch Brand Heavy Duty Packaging Tape got the job done without worry! This tape has a very strong seal and excellent holding power!!! It does not split, tear or shred like all the cheap knock off brand tapes. I highly recommend using this tape for all your moving needs!!!!

I am a merchandiser and deal with a lot of boxes sent to my house that need to be loaded into my car to be brought to stores. They always fall apart but after I received this tape and started to use it, I have not had any box fall apart on me since I reinforce them with the 3M Heavy Duty Shipping tape. I am sure you will not be disappointed in purchasing it.

As many times as I tried, I could not figure out how to make the tape usable. It would not unpeel from the roll. I looked at the instructions. They only tell you what everybody knows already - how to use it once you can get to it. But actually figuring out how to unpeel it? Nothing in the instructions. Nothing on line. So thanks for nothing.
