Hard to get a consistent band of tape off the roll. Opened two more and had the same issue. Difficulty getting the tape to properly unravel after starting to use the roll. Would advise going with companies that master the manufacturing process to make tape.

Scotch use names like Tough Grip Moving, Heavy Duty Shipping and Packaging, or label it 3x (4X) stronger, I use it alot, all the time, for over 5 years for shipping, storing, packing, and moving. It is all the same-just average tape. It eventually comes loose. Except for Sure Start. It does not hold near as well. I wish another brand was readily available at the stores I shop. I am very frustrated with Scotch'e name and labelling tricks, especially when I pay a lot more for the same strength of tape.

Scotch is what we used when we moved from Colorado to Iowa and once again when we moved back to Colorado 12 years later. You could not tell the difference in quality between the older package and the new one we bought when we ran out, both worked great, we kept the older one in a cool dry place for those 12 years.

We bought this tape expecting it to be the cheap packing tape we would have to use three layers with, but we were wrong! It’s thick and strong. It had a little trouble at first sticking to the boxes but once it was pressed against the boxes it held perfectly

Not heavy duty anymore! As with just about everything else a person buys these days ... they have found a way to make the tape thinner and less durable... but of course, more expensive, than the last time we purchased it. If anyone knows where to buy GOOD, STURDY tape ... we sure would like to know. Better than none. That's about all.

It works well for putting boxes together and keeping them closed for shipping or hauling donations. I thought the tape was thicker since it is "heavy duty", but I haven't had any problems with it shredding like most thin tapes tend to do. I use it in a "tape gun" and it has been just as easy to use as the thicker tape I usually buy.

I peeled back the first layer and it stuck to my finger. I tried to scrape it off with a finger on my other hand, and it stuck to that one as well, so i tried to scrape it against one foot, and it stuck to my foot. I tried to pry it off with my other foot and it stuck to that one as well. Then I was all tied up with sticky tape. A friend had to pick me up and put me outside where it was 7°F. The tape literally doesn't work in that cold of conditions and I was able to break free!

Great product and great price

Don’t waste your money buying any other tape. This tape is the best by far.

This is the only tape I’ll use for packing boxes. It sticks to cardboard the best.
