Spare pack for garage . Always reliable and a staple to repack. Did notice and it might be in my head but thickness of tape seems less.

Strong and as expected.

The only packing tape we buy! We have tried several other brands and they are no where near as good as 3M Heavy Duty. The others shred, tear, stick to themselves so much that you want to scream. This one works great!

Very strong tape. Sticks to any paper product, (and to your face, use scissors!) Accepted by all shipping companies. Sam's has the Best Price I've Found.

We bought this tape expecting it to be the cheap packing tape we would have to use three layers with, but we were wrong! It’s thick and strong. It had a little trouble at first sticking to the boxes but once it was pressed against the boxes it held perfectly

This tape is 2-3 times thicker than the standard packaging tape you buy at most stores. We used it to tape up our boxes during our recent move and it held up VERY well. We ran out toward the end of packing and had to use the cheap tape. It didn’t stick as well, letting loose on a couple of boxes. We also had to use more tape to keep the boxes closed and secured.

Scotch use names like Tough Grip Moving, Heavy Duty Shipping and Packaging, or label it 3x (4X) stronger, I use it alot, all the time, for over 5 years for shipping, storing, packing, and moving. It is all the same-just average tape. It eventually comes loose. Except for Sure Start. It does not hold near as well. I wish another brand was readily available at the stores I shop. I am very frustrated with Scotch'e name and labelling tricks, especially when I pay a lot more for the same strength of tape.

I peeled back the first layer and it stuck to my finger. I tried to scrape it off with a finger on my other hand, and it stuck to that one as well, so i tried to scrape it against one foot, and it stuck to my foot. I tried to pry it off with my other foot and it stuck to that one as well. Then I was all tied up with sticky tape. A friend had to pick me up and put me outside where it was 7°F. The tape literally doesn't work in that cold of conditions and I was able to break free!

It works well for putting boxes together and keeping them closed for shipping or hauling donations. I thought the tape was thicker since it is "heavy duty", but I haven't had any problems with it shredding like most thin tapes tend to do. I use it in a "tape gun" and it has been just as easy to use as the thicker tape I usually buy.

Hard to get a consistent band of tape off the roll. Opened two more and had the same issue. Difficulty getting the tape to properly unravel after starting to use the roll. Would advise going with companies that master the manufacturing process to make tape.
