My only complaint is that the tape adheres to the dispenser and is a little difficult to loosen the tape so you can pull it forward.

I would purchase the tape again but the only redeeming quality of the dispenser is the blade to cut tape. It’s hard to use and constantly had to try to find end of roll for another piece of tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mostly use the Heavy Duty Packing Tape to repackage purchases for return shipping. For that purpose it works great. It seals securely and I trust the seal will hold through all the handling of shippers. As long as the tape stays fed through the dispenser, all is good. If the end slips out and the tape sticks back to itself, it is difficult to peel up again in one piece.

It was a pleasant surprise to be able to use one single piece of tape to be able to fully secure a box. (Most tape requires several passes.) The cutter easily allows cleanly trim a piece to your desired length. When you find a quality item like this, you should stick to it. :-)

This packaging tape gives me the confidence that my packages will withstand any rough handling and make it to their destination. With the convenience of a built in dispenser, it's easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free sample of 3M Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape and used this product to seal a package to mail. I had difficulty getting the tape started. There is a "tab" that appears to be the starting point, but in fact the tape ran over and past this point, so I struggled to find the beginning of the roll. Also, there is a piece of cardboard that says "remove here" that protects the cutting blade edge which is a great safety feature. However once I removed the cardboard where indicated, the cutting edge was still covered up with part of the attached cardboard, thus making cutting the tape difficult. I tried to remove the residual cardboard tab, but it is well secured, so I was not successful. I don't know if that little tab that remains is supposed to be left on for protection of the blade, or removed, but if left on, the cutting edge is blocked, and if it is to be removed, I cannot figure out how to do so without cutting myself on the cutting edge! However the tape itself is wonderful! It dispensed very easily and smoothly. I cannot tear it, which assures secure sealing. It has it's own dispenser, which would be very handy except for the above issues. It is clear tape, so you can see where you are putting it which is obviously important when sealing a seam or package edges. I love the tape and would recommend it for anyone's packaging needs.

Fixing to move and packing my boxes and using this. It works well on my boxes and keeps them secure. Cuts the tape very well with the dispenser. I will buy more as I have lots more to pack up!!
