When brewing it has a nice aroma. This is my new favorite coffee. This will gave your mourning a huge boost. I like the rich aroma and the hints of molasses and caramelized sugar. Part-time barista here. Consistent taste and very similar, but not the same, to store espresso shots. A solid cheap alternative if you're looking to budget your daily Starbucks fix. Really only good for iced espresso drinks unless you have a very nice steamer but at that point you perhaps would also have a very nice full set espresso machine as well. Milk pods for the machine to make hot lattes are... well... let's just say its very clear that you are using powdered milk.

I love the espresso pods. The coffee is great and easy to use. However my last order, June 2016, the pods that were sent had an expiry date of November 2016. That is not enough time when you order the 96 pack. I guess that is the disadvantage of purchasing online, you don't know if they will send you old inventory

I use this in my verisimo, using the coffee button. It's my morning wake up. Often times you don't offer other espresso's online or even in stores. I wish you would have more options when it comes to espresso. I drink this 2 - 5 times a day depending on my schedule at home.

I also tried it black and fell in love with the rich flavor. I have already purchased more and the price is decent. Would also love to try this as whole bean.

I was very disappointed of the quality control on this item it was not airtight it was filled at the top and the bottom but there was air that got into this bag when I opened it up the beans were discolored and had a nasty odor I know sometimes things happen but being at it was packed I would have thought somebody would have noticed that when they held it you could tell there was something wrong with this bag very disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely LOVED the Starbucks Expresso Roast. I love the rich aroma and the hints of molasses and caramelized sugar. The dark roast coffee smelled delicious, tasted incredible, and left me wanting a second cup every time!

I love several of the single source coffees, but for an everyday coffee, whether it's espresso or French press, Starbucks blended coffees are irreplaceable. They exhibit a good balance of nut, body, aroma and acidity. Though I usually reach for the bold, dark roasted coffees, on occasion I prefer a lighter blend. All coffees exhibit particular characteristics, some lighter, some more acidic, some higher nuttiness or what-have-you. I personally prefer a high nut, full body, low acidity and pungent aroma. Espresso Blend delivers this. Highly recommended.

I make a hot mocha latte every morning. My favorite beans to use for the espresso part is Starbucks Espresso Roast whole Beans. My coffee center grinds the beans automatically before brewing the 2 shot amount that goes into my venti latte. No negatives other than it would be nice if a pound was cheaper!
