Taste burnt. Gross

This is definitely not a medium roast that gives any flavor of maple as shown on the front label. It seems beans are burnt to increase yield. Doesn't taste anything like other medium roasts I've had. Very little flavor aside from having a charcoal taste. I was writing this review and went to look at other reviews that corroborated my suspicion. Going back grinding my own Columbian arabica from Trader Joes
