My husband and I have tried many, many brands and bold flavors. This one is just our all-time favorite. We still have some of the others in the house. But my heart sinks a little when we're out of the Starbucks French Roast and I have to settle for something else. How in the world does Starbucks do it? The flavor and aroma are stellar.

I am a fan of dark roast coffee in general as I prefer to drink it black, and I have to say this particular dark roast has great flavor. It is really full bodied and you can really taste the notes when drinking black. If you like dark roast coffees and are looking for a new k cup, I would definitely recommend this product.

I'm agreeing with all other protesting comments in regards to my precious French Roast..whole beans!!! Why?? Why would you discontinue an obvious favorite of so many? I too have bought at LEAST 1 1lb bag weekly since 1997! I think you should reconsider Starbuck's!

At first, I'm from China and my English is poor. So I'm trying my best to make this comment. This beans smell so bad that I can't feel the fragrance of coffee. I brewed them through my drip coffee maker, and the brewed coffee tasted so bitter. They're different from the beans which are used to make espresso in store. They're tooooooo strong for me and I can't adapt to them.

The box I received had an expiration date of Dec 2014. I realize that is two months away. However, local stores are selling the same product with expiration dates of April and May 2015. There is a definite taste difference in this coffee when it's within a few months of expiration -- perhaps b/c of storage in facility? Otherwise, this product is usually good. Customers just need to know they might not get the freshest coffee by ordering direct from Starbucks (as I had assumed).

It has a very smooth deep flavor that really gets you ready for the day. It’s great that it’s pre ground for me so no fuss with the coffee grinder before I make my coffee and a little goes a long way. It’s the perfect start to my busy day.

It was 7 degrees farenheit today... I came into the office, and had my first cup of coffee- Starbucks French Roast (k-cup).... What a nice Bold Flavor in a steaming hot cup of coffee! I could not have asked for a better way to take of the chill of this Alaskan weather morning!! (I have had two more since then... as it's only creeped up to 11 degrees this afternoon.

I need something really quick and strong to wake me up in the morning during my commute to the city; I have very little time to prepare my coffee so instant coffee is the way to go, and VIA is the only instant coffee that is close to brewed coffee; since I like dark roast, French Roast is my choice. I also like Christmas Blend and Anniversary Blend, but they don't issue them in VIA this year :(

I love the Starbucks French Roast coffee. I buy the beans and grind them myself. I love the rich coffee, almost chocolate flavor of the brew. I'm never without Starbucks French Roast at my home. If you love flavorful coffee, give this a try. You will never go back.
