[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't normally drink dark coffee but this one seemed different. It wasn't bitter at all. While dark is not my favorite I did find that I liked this one. I usually pass when someone says all they have is dark but if this one is on the menu I would definitely give it a yes.

I am so unhappy with Sam's Club as they have stopped carrying Starbucks French Roast Coffee 40 oz. in their warehouses. I have been drinking this for 24 years and purchasied it at a major competitor for 16 years before they discontinued it and then I joined Sam's Club and purchased it here until they recently discontinued it without a word. As they continue to drop major items from their inventory I have found less motivation to shop there and just discontinued my membership. If Starbucks French Roast Ground Coffee comes back, then so do I.

The coffee tastes rich and full-bodied, and the smoky finish makes it feel like a fresh coffeehouse brew at home. I love how convenient the pods are while still delivering great quality and consistent flavor every cup. Perfect way to start the day.

Have bought Starbuck French toast in past and loved it. Theses were a deal, so bought 3 bags. I noticed that all 3 bags did not have the vacuum when they arrived and Ann only had a month or two left on there use by date. Tried all three bags and they had a stale rancid taste to the coffee. Sam's gets A+ for making it right.

I used to enjoy taking my coffees at Starbucks but with the Covid-19 circumstances being what they are, I now take my coffees at home most days. At any Starbucks location the customer is compelled to drink whatever they're brewing that day and not all their brews are preferred by me. I prefer: #1-Italian Roast, #2-French Roast. Starbucks French Roast is great, but Sam's isn't offering the Starbucks Italian Roast...too bad for me. Wish SAM'S offered the Starbucks Italian Roast; it would make my coffee..."PERFECT". Life is great, but not always perfect.

When you buy in bulk, you want the quality to last. Whole bean coffee is the only way to make that happen. Open the bag of ground coffee...and you'll smell the freshness leaving the coffee and giving you staleness in about 2 weeks. Costco understands the whole bean concept. Please please please stock Starbuck's WHOLE BEAN French Roast. Stop with the ground and it's no bargain compared to Costco.

This was shown as the white bag in purchase photo. It is commonly whole beans and was ordered as such. It arrived in the dark bag and ground. Coffee snob Mrs was not happy but did not want to complain. It clearly said ground on the description but recognuzing the package she felt duped. Who catches the steam? Me..

I really liked it. I will continue to drink this flavor. I received this in exchange for my opinion.

My husband loved it black and raved about how much he loved the flavor. So I guess you either love it or hate it. Quality is still great either way. #freesample

Starbucks french roast is just the thing you need for a gentle jolt to start or restart your day. This coffee is strong, but smooth and not bitter. In fact, you can easily select the larger cup on your brew for a big satisfying mug.
