I like strong coffee, the kind one finds in European cafes and restaurants. Since returning to the States from Germany 7 years ago -- there I drank Lavazza and Illy -- I tried several different whole-bean coffees. I found Starbuck's Verona to be closest to my ideal -- strong but not bitter and a nice crema from my superautomatic SAECO machine. Two cups in the morning and I'm ready for anything.

It's a smooth, rich, wonderful coffee. I typically only have one cup of coffee in the morning, but since trying this line, I not only have TWO cups, I have also been having one in the afternoon. Just amazing coffee! What more can I say? Try it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a very bold coffee. Very rich. I definitely get the dark chocolate notes they mention on the box. It's a really good coffee. I take my coffee black so I enjoy bold, robust coffee. And this coffee fits that bill quite nicely!

Love the flavor of Caffe Verona Coffee. No bitter taste even if brewed stonger. I enjoy the coffee hot in the morning, Iced on warmer days. I also use Cafe Verona Blended in my protein shake over ice to make a mocha, excellent. Hope this blend is around forever.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Starbucks has a great tasting coffee with their Decaf House Blend. It's not acidic or bitter tasting. It's a nice smooth coffee. It's especially good to have when you really want a coffee, but it's too late in the day for it. Which is when I have it. I have the k-cups, but you'd think I brewed a pot of coffee. This really is a great tasting coffee.

The aroma is sweetly pungent, smells great when brewing, and taste intensely roasty with a twist of slightly charred cedar. Sadly my opinion hasn't changed though it's way too bitter for my taste. #freesample

We have been drinking Verona for over 15 years and it was the best coffee ever!!! However, recently something has changed and it tastes super bitter. I don’t know if the beans have gone bad or Starbucks has changed something. The new packaging is sometimes vacuum sealed and sometimes not. I am sooo disappointed. Starbucks please tell me what’s going on???

Our household has typically purchased the store brand, but I was curious about how the well-known brand would stand up. It was good! The flavor stood up well against my usual brand, and I liked the slight hint of chocolate.

I like coffee that is very dark and extremely strong, but still smooth, so I get the Caffe Verona ground Turkish style and brew it in a ceramic cone filter. I like other blends, particularly some of the dark seasonals, but I always always come back to the Turkish ground Verona because it is so smooth, rich and delicious. I've yet to find its equal.
