[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I prefer a stronger, darker roast. most starbucks people probably get medium/light roast and thats fine, but i prefer this one. It's got a kick. and a subtle dark chocolate note. Not bitter. just right for me. will drink again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Starbucks Verona kcups are very simple to make. Just pop into the kcup machine and add some cream and sugar if you want it sweeter. This flavor is a dark roast so it has a bit of a burnt taste to it with some slight taste of cocoa and caramelized sugar. I would say this is a smooth coffee. Makes a great morning cup of Joe.

I must admit....I am spoiled as to drinking any other coffee except for Caffe Verona. It's good straight black but unlike other coffees, if you put creamer in, the flavor isn't watered down at all. You're able to still taste the great coffee flavor. I've belonged to different coffee clubs over the years and have tried many many kinds. I saw this recommended on TV by two chef brothers and thought I'd try it and haven't looked back since. Just perfect...can't say anymore.

I can't say it much better than Shell. Christmas Blend is my all time favorite too!! But Verona is a close second. It is all coffee... not a bit of bitterness, and yet full flavored. I have it every morning, and it is a rare morning that, after that first sip, I don't say " Good coffee!!" to myself. It doesn't get bitter even when it takes me an hour and a half to drink my pot. TRY IT!!!

I much prefer espresso & can't wait to get mine. I bought the Caffe Verona Pods while I wait. It's pretty good, but I can't get the caffine boost I want with it, I'd have to drink too much & I can only handle 4 pods of the Verona but 6 pods of the espresso! Bigger boost for really tired people with the espresso.

During my escapes to other cities, it is nice to take that mid-afternoon break and enjoy that coffee. Good company and pleasant conversations enhance the coffee experience. Light, dark blends finally led me to the Verona blend in San Francisco. I'm always looking to enjoy that break, and the good taste and after taste of this blend.

I was at first skeptical, because of the traditional "burnt" flavor of Starbucks coffee. However, when I had the first cup of Caffe Verona, it reminded me of the "cafe de altura" I used to drink at a coffee plantation in the mountains of Chiapas, in southern Mexico. Caffe Verona has a full strong flavor but is not bitter, and should be enjoyed by itself without any "creamers".

Verona has been my favorite coffee since I discovered it 20 years ago. Recently I was forced to give up caffeine for medical reasons so I started to look for Verona decaf only to find it has been discontinued! I have used Verona exclusively for years and to try to find a replacement is going to be difficult to say the least. Starbucks please reconsider!

Have had a few dark roasts thru the years, and while this one isn't bad, it just isn't something I'd buy again. Not very aromatic, and consequently, not as rich in flavor.It would be good for someone who had never had, or didn't like French Roast; especially if medium was your favorite. Maybe a good starter dark, but not for anyone who drinks/loves French or Italian roast.

This is my favorite Starbucks coffee-my go-to when I want a rich, dark blend that's not overpowering. Very smooth with rich flavor, but not bitter or too dark. I like the darker blends, and this one is very consistent, even when my husband brews it a little stronger than I like.
