[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tasty and smooth, low acidity. I usually like to grind my own beans but this is a solid choice when I need an alternative. It has a great, full bodied flavor, makes a great fresh tasting cup of coffee. I use a bit less than the recommendation on the package, about a heaping tablespoon for 6oz of water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A classic Starbucks coffee. It has been a staple in our family for years and it is my favorite coffee! It has a slight dark chocolate and nut finish and a good bite to it. If you are looking for a basic coffee blend, this is a good option.

Best coffee ever, and now I can brew it at home. I only need to figure out a better water to make it taste closer to in-store brewing. Was so excited to see Starbucks made these K-cups when I got my Keurig, and now Pikes will occupy most of my supply!

Like others mentioned in their comments, I also think this blend has gone through an awful change over the past year or two. I drink pike place every day, and for awhile I would get a good bag then a bad bag almost 50% of the time. The bad bags would have a high pitch bitter taste that replaced the smooth even flavor and aftertaste I liked. Now its almost every bag I get. I'd really like to know what's going on. I've already switched to another brand, but if they fix their quality control issue I would love to switch back.

This coffee aroma is what you dream about, that is does not that strong and sometimes bitter taste. The first thing is the aroma of the fresh coffee that seems to put your brain somewhere else besides your Kitchen. Then comes that great smooth and taste that hits your taste buds, and it makes them go wild. The overall is great the mild side with a great pllet of flovar but not over powering. Great coffee.

My husband and I first experienced this coffee on Veterans Day when Starbucks gave us free coffee. We are hooked! We bought a bag and had it ground by the barista and we’ve been drinking it every day, sometimes twice per day. It has an excellent nutty flavor we enjoy and is honestly flavorful with no bitter aftertaste. I advise following the instructions on the bag for a perfect cup.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee had a great flavor and was super fresh. We used it for our daily coffee and were very happy with it. Good level of ground coffee, not too fine, and very flavorful. The packaging was easy to use and re-seal for many days without the coffee getting air and becoming stale, it remained fresh with the re-seal provided. I would recommend.

I was able to get my hands on the old bag that had the 71 on it and I can now confirm, that the new pike's place roast is different!! The new formula is what others are mentioning as bad!!! It seems like a darker roast and has bitter notes. I hope Starbucks goes back to the old formula, otherwise I'll have to find another medium roast elsewhere. In the meantime I will savor and enjoy my last bag of the old formula.

What a rude surprise that they changed the original Pike Place, I’ve been going store to store thinking that they are all sold out when I realized they changed the recipe!! They should have at least kept the old Pike Place so we had the option, I love Starbucks but will no longer use their hot coffee, will be looking for a new hot coffee brand.
