[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I truly enjoyed this coffee all week! Never tried this pike place roast before and I was pleasantly surprised by the tastiness. I could definitely notice the toasted nut and chocolate hints within. Good grind, nice flavor, I will definitely be purchasing this as soon as I am through with this bag. Love!!!

I have been drinking Pikes Place daily for many many years... Its my only go to blend in stores and at home as well. The last few months the smell.. taste.. color and body of Pikes has changed for the worst. No life.. no flavor. It tastes like dead coffee. Watered down.. the coloring has changed as well. Weak. New packaging in the stores states notes of cocoa and rich praline. The original Pikes Place as well as the package pictured on this website says rich flavors of cocoa and toasted nuts...thats the good stuff..however stores are now stocked with new blend and packaging saying cocoa and praline...Huge difference. Starbucks changed the blend to a weaker blend and kept the name Pikes Place thinking the customers won't notice. Shame on you Starbucks. This new Pikes is awful. You should promote this new blend as Pikes light or something else. It is flavorless watered down coffee. Please bring back the original Pikes Place and rename this new blend of Pikes in your stores or better yet.. remove it. I love my local baristas.. they go above and beyond to make the customers happy but unfortunately.. I won't be visiting Starbucks daily if they cant bring back the original delicious aromatic Pikes Place. Why ruin a good thing Starbucks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Starbucks coffee is just a step above the rest. I honestly think it has more flavor than other brands and it doesn’t get lost in cream and sugar either. The bag itself is easy to open and close and I like that they completely fill the bag.

I love the Pike Place Roast (except during the holidays). Pike Place is a nice roast that seems to please all people's palate. It isn't too strong for those don't care for a bold flavor and it's not weak like having "brown water". I highly recommend this roast.

But it's important to start with a good quality coffee and Pike Place is about as consistent and solid as you get. It's basically the default quality coffee these days and worth brewing

I had two samples of Pike Place within a gift basket. I finally tried them yesterday, and it was wonderful! The coffee is VERY smooth, no bitterness. I added a touch of vanilla soy milk to the first cup, and a touch of almond milk to my second cup. They were both delicious! No sugar needed! This easily has become one of my favorite coffees.

I was able to get my hands on the old bag that had the 71 on it and I can now confirm, that the new pike's place roast is different!! The new formula is what others are mentioning as bad!!! It seems like a darker roast and has bitter notes. I hope Starbucks goes back to the old formula, otherwise I'll have to find another medium roast elsewhere. In the meantime I will savor and enjoy my last bag of the old formula.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this makes a decent cup of coffee. It seems a little dark and burnt to me. I like a medium roast that actually has flavor notes to it. This coffee definitely just tastes dark and burnt. It satisfies the coffee need, just not the preferred roast for me.

Ordered mid dec 2016. Took 2 weeks to get my order. Opened box to find 144 pods with expiration dates of march 2017! I guess I am supposed to consume a lot more coffee than usual because of the expiration dates. Really Starbucks? I thought I would get better quality and customer care than "soon to expire" pods.

Got a bag of the ground from my local store. The taste has changed, you can tell just from smelling it in the bag. Pike Place no longer has a buttery smooth taste all the way through. Now, it has a harsh bitter almost burnt taste at the end! I thought I got a bad batch, but this doesn't seem to be the case as per other reviews.
