It has a strong rich taste. Definitely a good choice for my first cup of the day. I really enjoy the French roast flavor that has become one of my favorite. I suggest this flavor at work and almost everyone like it. Definitely enjoying and recommend trying.

still has that ""instant"" coffee taste, but since it is a stronger coffee it goes away after a few sips. I was equally excited that the last bit in my cup made a boring vanilla ice cream into a rich Starbucks icecream -- something I am unable to find where I live!!

"Smoky" is the perfect word to describe this coffee. The beans have a strong tobacco scent that simply wasn't appealing to this ex-smoker. I take my coffee black with no sugar, so flavor is really important to me. This coffee was bitter and left an unpleasant aftertaste.

It might be too bold for some palates, but if you're looking for a heavily roasted punch, these are the beans for you. Perhaps unbeatable value for whole roasted beans. I have been drinking your French Roast Via coffee for several years. Bought it because I need a low acid coffee and it is. Can hardly wait for first cup in the morning. Does NOT taste like instant coffee. So easy when I travel or am out and about. Keep a few in my purse, stop at one of your stores and get hot water. Bingo! Same great taste every single time. I'm so spoiled. Please keep making it.

No more measuring and making a mess on the counter. Just open and pour into your coffee maker. The flavor is amazing and smooth. The aroma of it smells so fresh and good. Definitely recommend to everyone!!

too bad sbucks has phased out the french. the italian will have to do i guess. i felt lucky enough to snag a pack of the french roast as a mini xmas present to myself. sad to miss it as i'm not seeing it in the stores, i doubt we'll be able to purchase online much longer either
