One can is enough for the whole day if I make it in a pot. Taste even better if you make it with the steam milk and put some chocolate on top.

The coffee was exactly what I expect from a French roast. I was strong without being chalky. The bag is easily closed and a good size. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not the usual Starbuck product user but I like a dark roast coffee. I used the Starbuck French roast in my espresso machine, and then I made a pot with my regular filtered coffee maker. The flavor turned to be quite different. In my humble opinion, this makes an affordable good espresso, which keeps the delicate caramelized & sweet, aromatic taste that resembles the taste of black licorice. The aroma is very delicate and won't leave you with the bad aftertaste that many ground coffee has. I won't trade the current brand I have been using, but I will consider SBUX French Roast if I ever need a second option.

We live on Martha's Vineyard and cannot always get the whole bean French Roast Starbucks coffee that we need. Sometimes we have to settle for an inferior coffee. My husband and I have given up settling for something that just doesn't have that wonderful aroma and flavor that the French Roast does. I don't have to make reservations to go off island to get our coffee and can just go online and order it, we don't have to wait. In fact I usually make reservations one week in advance, the coffee arrived in four days after placing online order. Great Job! Thanks Starbucks.

We have been using French Roast exclusively in England since Starbuck opened their stores in this country. We consider this to be ,by far, the best Starbuck product and have introduced it to most of our friends. We are therefore dismayed that it was discontinued late last year, a very unfortunate commercial decision. Has management got an answer?

I'm a definite Starbucks fan... & typically treat myself to a 'bold' coffee weekly. So decided to try the French Roast, but was more accustomed to a more 'smoooother' taste from other French Roast brands as comparison. Good for now & then...but a tad bitter than most French Roasts.

Yes it’s cute and fun to open a new can, the novelty aspect is great. But this is such an extremely wasteful product. Being recyclable is not useful as many places (including in the United States) do not have a very well developed recycling program. It’s better to focus on the “reduce” rather than the recycling and a regular coffee can that reseals offers a much better value and less waste.
