Had been drinking Coffee for more than 45 yrs ! try a lots of coffees flavors , brands but always goes back to French roast of Starbucks ! cost a little more but absolutely worth it ! Tried Starbucks all over the world , the taste always consistent ! love it

I really love strong, dark and rich coffee and the French Roast Whole Bean is perfect. I live in a very small town in an underpopulated area and it's often hard to get this coffee. It's wonderful to be able to order it online, Quick and simple and coffee in my kitchen. Thank you. Judy

Few years ago this type of blend was called: French Roast Extra Bold and it was a mix of Latin coffees only. The new name Dark becomes multi region and adding Indonesian and African tastes. Is there anybody out there (or Starbucks themselves) tell me what taste from Africa (Ethiopia or Kenya?) and from Indonesia (Sumatra or Sulawesi) have been added to the New French Roast. I prefer the rich dark pure latin (Costa Rica / Columbia and Brazil blend) therefore sometimes opt to taste the Guatemala Antigua as an alternative. Meanwhile French Roast is still my best choice, even a very little acidity of African coffee could be recognized in it.

The taste of this coffee is amazing wouldn’t have it any other way. Love the freshness of this brew makes my house smell amazing when we make a fresh pot in the morning. The brew not that strong I believe I would say a middle which good for me . Anything Starbucks makes my day also better.

Starbucks has a great line of dark roast and this has a real natural flavor to it. K pods are so convenient this box comes in a package of 10 recyclable k cup pods. Easy for carry and convenience. This is 100% ground Arabica coffee.

I am unsure why this product can't be found in Starbuck's stores any more but that is a big mistake. This is the most full flavored of all the Via offerings: dark and rich with no "burned" taste. When I don't have time for a cup of press-brewed, this does the trick!

I bought a Keurig coffee maker this past year. My husband has always drank Starbucks coffee which is so conveniently accessible in the city for him. I have always enjoyed strong black coffee at home, but now we needed to get the K-cups for our new coffee maker and he introduced me to Starbucks Dark Roast. We drink eat everyday and with the K-cups, it is so easy and quick. Dark roast stands up to is name: strong and flavorful!
