French Roast is my favorite Starbucks coffee. I started drinking it way back when it was a big part of all their blends. Somehow it achieves a sweet, smoky smoothness with no harsh finish or burned aftertaste. I hope rumors of its demise are exaggerated - nothing else is quite the same.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Starbucks has really outdone themselves with this style of coffee. It is so unique in the packaging and flavorful of the coffee. To start off the packaging makes it so convenient to travel with it to store. The coffee comes in a small can that has enough coffee to make half a pot. It also makes the coffee stay fresh until you are ready to make a pot of coffee. The coffee comes in a small tin with a pull tab to open so no can opener is needed to open. When you pull the tab and peel it open you get a strong smell of the coffee. While it is brewing it fills your home with a strong scent. I tried my first cup of coffee with no add ins. It was a great taste. My second cup of coffee I paired with hot chocolate mix and it paired nicely with the flavor of the coffee. This is a great just because and even pick me up. A unique and convenient way to have your coffee stored.

still has that ""instant"" coffee taste, but since it is a stronger coffee it goes away after a few sips. I was equally excited that the last bit in my cup made a boring vanilla ice cream into a rich Starbucks icecream -- something I am unable to find where I live!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very tasty I rather enjoyed it not something I particularly would buy to have at home it was just a little too much of dark it was too rich that was all it was just a little too rich for me it was good but it was just too rich for me like I enjoy something a little later than that flavored maybe caramel or something

I really love strong, dark and rich coffee and the French Roast Whole Bean is perfect. I live in a very small town in an underpopulated area and it's often hard to get this coffee. It's wonderful to be able to order it online, Quick and simple and coffee in my kitchen. Thank you. Judy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freshness of ever little can is awesome. The lids on the cans are easy to open so it’s not a hassle every time you want to make a pot. The coffee is strong, so even if you make a whole pot out of it, it’s still very good and still quite strong. The aroma is excellent. These cans of coffee are awesome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These just so happen to be the exact size that I use every morning, so the product was appealing from the start. The coffee tastes good and I love that there's no measuring in the morning. These would also be perfect for someone that doesn't drink coffee very often, as the individual containers would keep it fresh for much longer. I haven't done the price comparison to the bagged coffee yet, but if it's not too much more, I'd definitely purchase again.

Absolutely my favorite VIA ~ Bold, strong & real coffee! Simply delicious without any bitterness ... The French know how to make great coffee! ;) Hopefully, during this lovely, snowy Wintertime ~ SB's will come to their senses and Restore their Delicious Original VIA ~ without any fake milk powder EVER again!
