From my first day using this shaver. This shaver is exactly what I have been looking for. So easy to get a perfect trim. Easy to clean. I always had problems trimming my beard and getting that nice looking lines.Best beard trim I have ever gotton. My only complaint would be cost of replacement blades. I am sure price will drop over time. Very happy customer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was part of the original beta test of the one-blade and was really impressed with the product I got back then. The latest unit with the skin guards has definitely stepped up with some welcome improvements. First of all the skin guard does work as intended and keeps the most sensitive of skin from getting caught or nicked by the shaver. That alone was a huge improvement and the main difference this new shaver brings to the table. However, Philips addressed some other minor details which I appreciated. There's now a charging light on the shaver itself indicating charge status. They included a travel cover for the shaver head which was desperately absent from the original unit. The battery life and charging time are also longer and shorter respectively which is always a welcome change. A few minor things I'd still like to see updated would be allowing you to use the shaver while it's charging. Also, a travel case specifically for this shaver would be an amazing addition, I'd even buy it separately.

The design of this trimmer is outstanding when it comes to shaving sensitive areas. Battery life is more than sufficient, I use it several times a week, and only charge it once every couple of months. On the downside, the OneBlade doesn't do a good job trimming long hair. You have to do multiple passes in order to get all of it. A regular beard trimmer works much better. Lastly, and this is the most frustrating part, the comb attachments no longer stay in place after a few months of use, due to the plastic clips that secure them to the head wearing out from frequent changing. I have to hold them down with my thumb so they don't fall off while I trim my beard. I wish Philips had used higher quality materials for the attachments. The bodygroom that I used before had the same problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used both versions of the OneBlade and this one has a few notable differences. The major one for me is it has a blade specifically for below the belt. Then it has a protector if you use it on your underarms... the 4 guards that you can use to trim your face and chest. The guards and specialty blade all trim or shave hair without pulling or snagging. I received the OneBlade Face + Body free in exchange for my honest feedback.... as someone that has tried all different types of products for hair management..... this is a one stop that works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been considering to buy this product as a replacement for my previous beard and hair trimmer for some time, and now I got the chance to test this via the Philips product test program. The machine itself is good, very good. Light, fits well in hand and although it's 'just' hard plastic, it doesn't feel cheap at all. It's waterproof so perfect to use in the shower. (although the blade didn't really catch on to wet armpit hair which was close to the skin, I reckon it works well on the beard) The package includes usefull blade covers, which gives you a good option of trimming your beard and other hair. The blade 'lock' which is on top of the device is rather flimsy/weak, I had it detach a couple of times while trying to chance guards or even opening the travel cover (which isn't included on the product picture!). Besides that the guards are good as mentioned, albeit I would like to see the adjustable length comb in a longer version also. (see attached picture of my beard length for reference of the longest setting) I have quite a coarse and hard beard, which this machine had some trouble with. I had to repeat the trimming process a couple of times for perfect result. I would like to see a blade which is made for coarser beards.(e.g. resemble a barber's trimmer more, bigger spacing between the teeth). If that would be available, I would give this product 4/5. The last point lost for the joint between machine and blade being a bit flimsy (which is also possible to be a unit specific issue..) I do like the straight head, since it gives new options of making edges in comparison to traditional Philips beard trimmers/shavers. Pouch is good!! BTW; this product would work for women as a shaver as well.

The blade itself it's really good, don't pull your hair and very precise whatever style you want but the combs are really fragile, specifically in the part where holds the blade and the comb, it breaks easily. In a couple of occasions, while using a comb on my beard, it breaks and literally shave a whole spot.

The head broke on the first use. The heads are cheap and are poorly made.

Does not perform as advertised

Easy to maneuver around the face, and blad cuts in both directions which is fantastic! Love it!

Very gentle, doesn't tug hair, and therefore safe to use on private parts. Use with skin guard!
