The larger box can usually get me through two periods. I don't have to worry about any unwanted leaks either with them since the string is braided and it catches anything that may get to it. They never give me any problems. They work well for my needs.

The tampons themselves are more of a bullet shape rather than a long cylinder which I definitely prefer. The plastic applicator is easy to grip and use. The string is comprised of multiple soft strings lightly braided. These are definitely my first choice during that time if the month.

I think the Tampax pearl is by far the best tampon I've ever bought. I like the regulars but the compact is starting to grow on me too because it is smaller and more convenient to place in my purse. In the past, I used playtex and despite their advertisement for 360 degrees of protection, the tampon leaked majorly. I wasn't even that physically active at the time.
