DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

DO NOT BUY this product. All 8 cans were extremely damaged. The box they were shipped in was smashed, however they did have bubble pack. However, the 8 cans within the shrink wrapped were all damaged before they shrinked wrapped them. The internal box that the cans were in wasn't damaged which indicates they packaged damaged cans and shipped to the customer that way. You will read several more like this. I am waiting to hear back from Sams Club. I want my money back. Too bad, this is good sauce. Call me Sams club.

We love these crushed tomatoes.

I miss being able to buy in store because every time they're delivered, the cans are bent, dented, etc. I'm very careful when I buy canned goods. This time, every can is bent & dented.

Damaged cans

Good product but be ready to throw a few away. They arrived in a box and were all packaged together, 4 of the cans were dented and 2 of them were so bad that it was not worth the risk and had to throw them away

A favorite of mine and America's Test Kitchen

The freshest tasting canned tomatoes you will find. Makes excellent sauce for pizza. So glad Sam's Club carries the brand and provide the best value.

not good for chicken stews

i bought this product as it seemed to have great reviews and if being used in spaghetti sauces it might be but in chicken stew or soups it doesn't taste to great, guess it was the basile that made it taste off

Fantastic!

After trying this, I no longer buy pasta sauce. This is just the right consistency. Add basil, oregano, garlic or whatever else you like, and it will beat nearly any brand of pasta sauce. Works well as a base for chili, too. Depending on the thickness you prefer, you might need to cut in some water, beer or other liquid to get it more soupy. I hope Sam's Club keeps this in stock because it's now my go-to brand for crushed tomatoes.

It's one of the best tasting crushed tomatoes!

Tried it and am buying more. My family tells me it's the best pasta sauce I've made in a long time. I owe it all to the Tuttorosso Crushed Tomatoes with Basil. It is a GREAT PRODUCT and I hope you will continue to carry it. I just ordered my 2nd 8 pk and expect to use it again soon. I did add more basil and some tomato paste. It was a great tasting sauce. I will also be using it for chili and other dishes but hope to continue using it for my Italian Pasta Sauce.

excellent crushed tomatoes

I usually use Hunt's crushed tomatoes and tried these Tuttorosso for the first time. Hunt's has small pieces of tomato, including a little bit of tomato skin. The Tuttorosso has is more uniformly and finely crushed, very much like the jarred Italian tomato passata made by Mutti and others. (The Mutti passata also says "puree" on the bottle, but neither the Mutti passata nor the Tuttorosso crushed tomato is very thick, unlike Hunt's tomato puree, which is quite thick.) The Tuttorosso does not have large basil leaves, such as you will find in the cans of Cento peeled whole San Marzano tomato. If you want chunks of tomato, I would use another brand or type, but I was very pleased with the Tuttorosso and will be buying it again.
