I've seen and used a lot of pencils in my 70 years. These are among the best I've used in the past. They have a nice octagonal barrel that is not overly fat or too thin. That makes them very good for use in the hand while writing. The HB #2 lead is thick enough and just what is needed for good visibility and reading. I also use them for marking wood before making cuts. The erasers also work as I expect they should on a pencil - not too hard or too soft.

Definitely have gotten better with quality

Nothing better than these pencils. They don't wear down near as fast as most pencils. And the lead doesn't seem to break off near as easily as others seem to. Which makes them less expensive in the long run. I also buy these to donate to the school each year and teachers REALLY appreciate these!!

Best price I found for those pencils

I understand the Ticonderoga pencils are highly rated by teachers, so when these came available at a significantly lower price point I scooped up many for my Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes and pencil pack fillers for the Samaritan’s Purse OCC endeavor. I shared the sale to a Shoebox Shoppers page as these pencils are a much needed and sought after item at such a low price. Thanks for the great sale price Walmart!

As a teacher, Ticonderoga is the only brand of pencils I will buy. These sharpen so well, they always come to a sharp point. The eraser lasts much longer and actually does its job instead of just shredding the paper or falling apart. These pencils are strong and likely will not break even with a heavy hand. I would recommend these over any other pencils.

I usually buy this brand of pencil because they are good quality. This year is the first time I ordered them from Sam's, and they're terrible. The point keeps breaking, and then when I go to sharpen it, it just breaks over and over again. Ugh! Do Not Buy!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Absolute garbage! Not pre-sharpened and when you do sharpen them, the lead constantly breaks. I have thrown away 2 entire boxes after attempting to sharpen them.

Pencils are no good, 8 out of 12 in each box rotten or there's no led, kids have to go thru at least 4 pencils in order to get one to write without point breaking, having to throw away pencils for this purpose is a waste, just sharpening them one after the other not being able to use them is ridiculous
