I have a 2020 car with about 15,000 miles on it and I guess I am from the old school but I change my oil every 5,000 miles

I have nissan patrol 5.6L V8 and the motor is having 420000kms, still runs brand new. Oil changes done at 10K kms interval.

I change the oil in every car when just before the max oil % drops below 5%! Never had a problem using Mobil 1.
