To me, Mobil 1 is by far the best oil to use in your vehicle. I purchased a 2003 Ford Ranger, 3.0L, 24K miles, the end of 2007, 4 + years old ! I changed the oil to Mobil 1, 5W-20 on the first oil change I did. The first thing I noticed was the engine appeared to run quieter ! Interesting. I can't say if the MPG improved, I didn't keep a record, but the engine did seem to run better overall. It is now 20 years later, still running Mobil 1, 5W-20, in the same 2003 Ranger, and the motor is still running great, no major repairs, starts every time I turn the key, still sounds great, you would never think I had the original motor in the truck. My secret is: 1) Full Oil/Filter changes every six months (twice a year - January and July). 2) Change the Filter in between the oil changes, three months intervals (April and Oct), and add Mobil 1 to top off the engine oil lost when changing the filters alone. 3) Start again Jan Oil/Filter change. It takes 4 Filters, Oil Filters of your choice, 2 Cartons of Mobil1 (six quarts in each carton, purchased at Costco, great price); 5 quarts of oil for the engine during the January and July oil changes, and an extra quart for the oil filter change (April and Oct). Simple RIGHT ! Cost: approximately $80.00 yearly. I know I could get far more milage on the oil... but more oil changes, is better in my book. Thanks for reading. I use Mobil1 5w30 in each of my three cars, an 07 Chevy truck, 01 Corvette track car and an 88 Corvette. I had the track car out this past weekend filled with Mobil1 and it ran smooth and cool all weekend. In fact I’ve never had an oil related issue with any of my cars. And I’ve used Mobil1 exclusively for approximately 10 years. The 88 Corvette was switched to Mobil1 about twenty two years ago and run like a top every time I drive it, which isn’t often anymore. So that car sits around a lot. Great product!

I bought this oil to replace old oil in my daughter's 2009 Chevrolet Suburban, 3 days later( approximately 75 miles ). She called me to come help her because she was broke down at the end of the road I live on. I soon discovered the piston sticking out the engine block. Engine oil life is still at 100%. Very DISSATISFIED

Been a fan of a competitor for some time, availability led me to switching to mobile 1. Right away I've noticed smoother operation, which is debatable, but what isn't is the better fuel economy our vehicles have picked up. I'd swear our vehicles have more power and even running the air conditioning we get a 1-2 mpg improvement. So far, I'm very impressed!

I own 3 vehicles. A 1998 Chevy K1500 5.7 Vortec, a 2018 Ford Mustang 2.3 EcoBoost, and a 2016 GMC Sierra Denali 1500 6.2 Ecotec (0W-20). I’ve tested every major brand of motor oil there is on these vehicles and none of them came close to comparing to Mobil 1! I would highly recommend this product to anyone that feels like they could benefit from a strong and smooth engine!

My 2007 Corvette with 60,000 miles maintains 28 psi at 70 mph 1750 rpm, oil temperature of 220 degrees. This hasn't changed since I've owned it for two years, considering changing to a higher weight or different oil manufacturer. Cold oil pressure can climb to 80 psi, when hot pressure falls off rapidly. Mobile 1 suggested to keep using 5-30, or maybe 0-30, but not 0-40. Why? I feel my oil concerns are due to thermal breakdown. The only way to increase oil pressure when hot is to use a higher weight oil, or a better grade oil that resist the effects of heat. Just my 2 cents worth...

proof is in the miles. my2003Ford Ranger4.0 just turned 174,500plus miles with this oil. used wix filters until high mileage mobil 1 filter became readily available 125, 000 miles were in dallas , tx traffic and hot texas weather,balance in Missouri weather since retiring. still no oil consumption or leaks, gives me20- 22 mpg, 5spd, 4x4 with 4.10 gears. use same oil in my john Deere 445 lawn tractor, john deere4x6 gator, new scaggs turf tiger zero turn mower and new ford f150 4x4 eco boost 3.5 whichjust turned 35,000 miles, with no consumption, As a side note, use 5W40 mobil1 in my 65 hp john deere turbo diesel 5320 tractor, just turned over1000 hrs.with no oil consumption. my wife's Toyota Avalon 2014, run 0W20 mobil1 with mobil1 filter, change oil once a year, usually just a bit over 10,000 miles. does not us a drop of oil, currently at 50,000 plus, will change after bad weather is out of here , southwest missouri . current oil still looks clean on dip stick. gave us 35mgp round trip to Dallas, tx, over thanksgiving nearly 900 miles on the road. why use any other oil, as is readily available even in rural Missouri.

I was a firm believer in this oil and was very proud to tell people I was a user of Mobil 1 full synthetic! That is until I recently got a bad lifter tick and pulled the valley and valve covers off of my 2003 5.3 liter Silverado and seen the god awful gunk build up! It was unreal! Definitely not what I was expecting after spending good money on what I thought was great oil. I would not go over 6,000 miles between oil changes. I have built a fresh 5.3 and I will be using AMSOIL!!!!!

I have used 5w-30 for our 2017 Chevy Malibu Premier 2.0l Turbo, and 5w-20 for our 2015 Chevy Colorado LT 2.5l engines since new. There have been no issues or oil usage on either engine, and the oil comes out in good shape when the oil meter tells us it's time for an oil change.; The oil changes come at 1 year for the truck and aprx. 10 months for the Malibu Turbo., and I feel these are very safe intervals with the Mobil1 Advanced Full Synthetic Oils. I was first introduced to Mobil 1 synthetic with my previous car - 2008 Corvette. After a disappointing oil change at a local Subaru dealer I decided to do it myself. Although the car manual recommends a viscosity of 0W-20 I decided to use 5W-30 since the temperatures in Hawaii are more towards the warm temperature range. First drive after the oil change I immediately noticed an increase in power/torque; not a lot, but very noticeable. For those that know the reputation of this car not having enough power - this was a welcome boost. I also noticed after a day of driving that my MPG increased by 0.2 MPG per the dashboard display. I suspect that number will increase as more miles are driven with this oil. My advice: switch to Mobil synthetic NOW!
