They don't have a chalky taste at all and don't leave a bad after taste in my mouth. I have already recommended this Pepcid to friends and family. It is so easy to only have to take the one dose to both kill my current heartburn but also to ensure that it doesn't rear it's ugly head again for the next 24 hours! My husband and I both suffer from heartburn, and he was a huge fan of this medicine when he tried it, as well. He often gets heartburn in the night, so the simplicity of taking a product that takes care of two issues is a huge bonus for him when he has to get up all groggy in the middle of the night to take a heartburn cure. The taste is actually quite pleasant, but I'd take pills that tasted awful if they worked as well as this one does, so the nice taste is just a cherry on top! It starts working for me almost immediately and takes away that nasty acid that I get. I highly recommend this product.

But, these don't have a bad chalky taste, and the berry flavor is very pleasing. It helped with my heartburn fairly quickly, which I liked!
