I'm not a big fan of that and how they glide on paper. It just doesn't feel very smooth to write with. Color payoff is nice, just not my favorite to write with.

The benifiet to that is they it didn't bleed through any paper when writing. It would be awesome for all types of cards to give it a little flair if color. My daughter took a few and used them to colorin her coloring book and she also really liked them. She wanted more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Paper Mate Flair Felt Tip medium point pens! They write smooth and don't bleed through my paper. The super vibrant colors are beautiful and make using them so fun! I love the variety of colors!

It is great that it doesn't bleed like some other marker type pens that we own. It is fun to have a colorful pen to work with for art projects requiring a fine point.

I'm thinking it's been at least 6 years of unwavering commitment to the Papermate Flair Pen, specifically. I always get the black in bulk because I go thru them so quickly. These pens are so good I won't let people borrow them because I can't bear the thought of having to use an inferior product. Not even kidding. Now I know some wacky individuals who don't appreciate the not quite a marker, not quite a pen versatility this product offers...those people are just wrong. They'll understand one day. Side note: Kids tend to LOVE these pens (they were usually trying to steal mine). It actually was a badge of honor if I gave one of my pens to a student- other kiddos would get jealous, it was great. If you're tired of wimpy pens but aren't confident enough to go about your day writing exclusively in Sharpie, these pens are a nice midldle ground.

But when i got this pen it was perfect smooth writing throughout! And nice and easy cap and good color as well. The ink doesnt spill out, the pen doesnt stagger when writing at all.
