Red Door used to be my favourite, but the high, middle and low notes of this new stuff are awful. When I replaced my old bottle I thought the new one had gone bad. Then when I checked the website reviews, I discovered this is how it's going to be. With all the new scents you have come out with, why did this classic have to be changed? Please go back to what it used to be!

I just got mine in the mail today and I am in love!!!!! this scent is something very mature like. I think its definitely a sexy might out type of fragrance. one spray is definitely enough to last you hours. also, the packaging and bottle are so much more prettier in person.

I had a bottle of Red Door since 2001 and I loved it. For 15 years I got compliments when I wore it. My sister liked it so much that I gifted her a new bottle. And she returned it to me saying it was "just not me". Yet when I smelled the new one and the old one side by side, they indeed smell very different. The new one smells less floral and a little more like dust and something sour/acidic, a little like urine. I'm sure the modern audience that still compliments me on the old Red Door does not appreciate the dusty urine smell. I'm so disappointed.

Have been using only Red Door for 6 years and before the new bottle, received compliments and comments nearly daily, and after many hours. Since changing to the new bottle, nothing! It doesn't have the wow effect as before and the scent doesn't last nearly as long. I don't believe the formula is the same as before and am very disappointed in what used to by my only perfume.

I've bought the new Red Door but it's not like the one I used to wear. I use the old one to one hand and the new to the other but there is a diffrence. The smell is not the same and doesn't last like the old one. It's not in my mind because of the diffrent bottle, it's the truth. Sorry... :(

My mother loves red door, in the clear bottle w/red top. we buy the gift set at Ross outlet stores for her every November 2 on her birthday. but i was in walmart and seen this red door w/new look darker red bottle. i sprayed this red door, i don't know what i was smelling, but it didn't smell nothing like the red door with the clear bottle red top . my mother loves red door. in clear bottle w/red top. this red door smells like a very strong red rose with some kind of spice and a little touch of sandle wood. I'm a fragrance lover. ladies always look for fragrances with, jasmine,orange amber, lilly, gardenia, sandle wood, pear, musk, with any 2 or 3 of these fragrance in bottle you will love the way you people will love your fragrance. it's a head turner trust me. fragrance is my passion and I'm bless to pick the right ones all the time. enjoy

I later found out that the Red Door Eau de Toilette which I purchased directly from Elizabeth Arden was recently reformulated ( without any notification to the customers) and is definitely not as good as the original that I faithfully used for over 10 years. Why on earth would a company raise their price and at the same time re-formulate what was already a highly successful fragrance resulting in a higher price for a mediocre product? If the old formula does not become available, I will move on and search for a new fragrance.

Red Door used to be one of the best fragrances ever created. It was a soft, powdery floral that made you feel better about yourself. After the change from the dome shaped bottle to the dark red door shaped bottle, the formula was altered. I don't understand why the company would change something that was a best seller for them. I am not the only one that feels this way. This fragrance holds a lot of special memories for many people, and now it's just not the same. Please, please bring back the original Carlos Benaim formula. Guess all we can do is ask and hope....

Not sure if this was a direct Walmart Purchase or if it was from a 2nd or 3rd party vendor but the bottle was fine for a few months, when the bottle reached the 1/2 way mark (half full or half empty however you choose to view it) the spray pump or something went wonky on it and you like have to shake it, turn it upside down then revert it to normal position to even get a slight spray from the bottle. I know this could have been a defective bottle but it isn't like returning it at the 1/2 way mark would even be reasonable. I love Red Door, I've worn it for years and this is the first bottle that I have ever gotten that was wonky. As long as the bottle functions accordingly it's amazing and even though this was a crappy defective bottle I still recommend Red Door By Elizabeth Arden 1 million percent.

I have loved Red Door for years until now. I received a bottle of Red Door Toilette Spray as a gift and I can't wear it.To me it is sickeningly sweet and too strong. The bottle looks different but looking at the website I see that is how it is packaged now. I don't know what changes were made to the formula but personally it doesn't work for me. I'm sorry but my days of wearing this particular fragrance are over!
