I use these to filter drinking water, but I pour a little bleach with boiling water through them because they have a paper taste. I like the size of these better because it's faster to funnel the water through a stack of these. I prefer coffee filters rather than the canister types of water filters because although they last for several months; I just rather see what I'm drinking and not over a period of several months with the same filter.

I needed filters for our Bunn home model coffeemaker. The product description for these filters conveniently failed to mention that they are for large commercial coffeemakers and will not fit home models. After discovering the misfit I searched the site and finally found info, buried in the specifications, that they are for commercial machines. I check specs on major purchases, but c'mon - who's going to take time to check specs on $6.88 coffee filters? Product description is beguiling but highly deceptive by failing to state that the product is not for home coffeemakers.

I have to first say that I DO NOT use these as they are intended as coffee filters. I DO use them to cover dishes that I heat and or cook in my microwave to catch any splatters that tend to happen. They work wonderfully for that I also use them to put under things that might leave a bit of a greasy residue when heated even in the toaster oven ( being sure the edges aren't sticking up above the item being heated.
