I was concerned about the negative reviews and almost didn't buy this blender. I'm glad I didn't listen. I see multiple reviews that it doesn't blend smoothly. I'm not sure what these people are doing wrong, but I would guess that it's one of a couple of things. First of all, you need to make sure you're putting enough water in. Second, it says in the instructions to let it run on setting 1 for a little bit to "catch" whatever is in it and then you can crank it up. Third, crank it all the way up to 10 and smoothies come out completely smooth. I had a Ninja before this and it wouldn't blend dates I added and little pieces were left in the bottom of the cup. This tore right through the dates, even though they were old and rock hard. I have made smoothies and salsa so far, and I love this thing. The only issue I had was with Sam's listing, not the product. It makes you choose red or black, and when I purchased the only available option was red. I choose that, picked it up at the store, and got a black one. I then noticed that the title reads "assorted colors". Both the black and the red are under the same SKU in the store, so you really probably need to go in to purchase if you want a specific color. The red in the picture also looks a little brighter than the red in person.

As much as i loved it im hoping i wont have to change my review on this one. I have used it once today when i received it and love it. It doesnt make much noise as my other blender (oyster brand). I must say i love it! Works as i expected. Please do follow instructions on first try. I recommend it i read and it does say to start off on 1 and 2 then after a certain sec or min you can higher it up on each use. Package did get on time and great conditions.

I wish for the price, it could have done more functions

It's a decent blender so far; haven't used it much.
