This mixer does wonders. My wife and I use it to make veggie and fruit smoothies. We cut up the veggies and fruits and place them in the mixer after adding ice and there you go. Everything comes out smooth and creamy with no pulp. We can't believe we waited for so long before buying it. No issues what so ever with the mixer. Worth the price. Just be careful when cleaning because the blades are very sharp. After we are done we rinse it then put few drops of dish washing liquid in it with water and let it run then rinse in the sink. Don't wait buy it you won't regret it.

I bought a reconditioned Vitamix 5300 2 weeks ago and have used it everyday since. I am nursing a sick relative and he requires soft food so the blender has saved the day in that I can cook food and regulate texture depending on how me relationship is is able to swallow on a given day. It has made my life so much easier and clean up is a cinch! Love my Vitamix!

I have been using my Certified Reconditioned 5300 vitamix for a week and it has been great. I use it every morning for my green smoothie. I have more energy and do not feel sluggish at the beginning of the day. I am in the process of making soy milk now. I can't wait to see how that comes out and if I will be able to make Almond milk also. It fits nicely under my counter which I really like because I don't like having to hall out something to use it every day. The wide base pitcher is also so much easier to scrap things out from the tines. Thanks Vitamix

Got a Vitamix 5300 for Mother's Day from my husband and love it! The first day I received it I must have made three different smoothie for my kids. My husband is on a diet and will be used for both of us as we try to eat healthier. Never been more pleased with a home appliance in my life!

I settled a while back on the Ninja and started making smoothies every day. ONG it started to become an inconvenience because it would literally take 20 minutes to finely blend all the spinach and kale. By that time I had to add ice to get it colder (plus I freeze all my ingredients) anyways, I slowly stopped making them. I just don't have the time. Well, today when I went to Coscos I saw they were on sale for $320.00! WHAT A STEAL! It is my birthday so I decided to treat myself! I've been wanting one FOREVER! Let me tell you, I am SO EXCITED at how AMAZING this beauty is! I made the same green smoothie I always make and what would be 20 minutes of blending (I put about 2 cups of kale and 2 cups of spinach) turned into less than 5 minutes!! AMAZING!!!!! I wish I bought this sooner. To the person who had issues with the fruit staying in chunks; I had the same issue as well. It turned out that since I freeze all my ingredients, I just needed to add more water and move the temper around the middle and sides a little bit to get it going. I hope that helps you a little. My smoothie came out delicious and so smooth. I mean, I didn't have so much as one single piece of unchopped spinach or kale. Very happy customer!!

Our primary use is smoothies. I wish the default container was smaller or that the 64 worked better with smoothies. Even with the tamper I feel they don't blend well. I've read about how to properly layer and tried to follow recipes exactly. We bought the 48 oz and it works well.

I was excited about owning a Vitamix since my parents bought one of the earlier models over 20 years ago and it's still running strong! I purchased this model just over 5 years ago. It's simple and easy to use/clean. I still love the product but the motor in this model is already going out after only 5 years of use. I don't use it daily but definitely a few times a week. Maybe this model is just not as reliable.

I bought this model 5300 two months ago during one of Vitamix's "flash" sales for what seemed like at the time a very good price. Last night we plugged it in and tried to turn it on. It tripped all the electrical circuits in the kitchen which had to be reset. Once we got our kitchen outlets reset, the blender would not turn. The base now has an odor like burnt electrical. We've owned many Vitamix blenders over the year and never had any major issues until now.

I have only owned this 5300 for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it! This is my second Vitamix, and haven't had one in years. I am so happy to have this new blender back into my life. I am trying to bring my health back up and this will help in the food department. I love how the smoothies turn out, soft creamy and delicious! I wish there was a starter kit for this model. Also, previously owned a Ninja which was extremely loud, so loud my husband makes me blend in the laundry room with the door shut! I was expecting the Vitamix to be the same, but delightfully it is quieter. This is a huge bonus, plus it blends is a shorter amount of time and leaves no chunks! LOVE, LOVE LOVE MY VITAMIX 5300!!!!

Ive had my new machine for less than a week but the fact that it stalls with 4 cups of ice and 3 cups of water in it really troubles me, I had to use the tamper because it was really stuck. They arent even big ice cubes either. I will leave another review after ive had it awhile if need be
