[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started drinking Ensure recommended by my Oncologist when I was diagnosed with 4th stage breast cancer. The medication I take for this takes away all of my energy so I start my day with a bottle of Ensure. I am 81 years old and prior to the cancer coming back I was extremely active to the point most people thought I was in my 50's. Since being on all of the various medicines I have no energy I don't think I could make it thru the day without the Ensure. Thanks for a fantastic product.

My 49year old step-daughter is a cancer patient & Ensure Enlive,recommended by her Dr. has helped her gain weight & combined with physical therapy,strength. This is helping her reach her goal of weight & strength to allow her bone marrow transplant to go forward. My husband & I are her caregivers & this product is a godsend !

Was introduced to Enlive while in hospital having surgery for cancer. Since at that time my diet was all liquid and it served me well. After my release from hospital I stuck with Enlive and also used Juven another Abbott Labs product for rebuilding after injury or surgery. 1 year after surgery my physical health is great. 60 years old and going strong still using Enlive 1-2 times a day.

After I discovered that I was missing some nutrition and vitamins I started drinking ensure live. I use it in my morning smoothie and my late night snack sometimes. A delicious change from the sweet stuff.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried other brands of protein shakes in the past, and found them lacking in taste and texture compared to Ensure's Enlive. The texture and taste actually reminded me of a real milkshake. I have yet to try any of the other flavors, but if they are as good as the milk chocolate, then you've got a hit.

Based on some of the reviews I read for Enlive, I thought that this was going to have a sucralose-like taste like Ensure High Protein (which I don't care for), so consequently I only bought the 4-pack of Enlive. I refrigerated the Enlive, drank it cold and I'm here to tell you that I noticed NO DIFFERENCE in taste between Ensure Complete and Ensure Enlive and with the added HMB, Enlive will be even better for you than Complete. It's a delicious shake!

I am currently in liver failure and while I was in the hospital last year my doctor put me on Ensure Enlive because I have lost such huge amounts of muscle mass, my general nutrition & health was pitiful from being so sick all the time. The hospital got my liver stable and I firmly believe that drinking the Ensure has helped me recover my muscle mass. I don't plan on giving it up even after transplant and the chocolate taste really good and it's good for me I can see the benefits for it well past my transplant.

I really miss the vanilla Ensure High Protein shake because it had MORE protein (24 gms), less calories (240) and less sugar. I'm drinking the strawberry Enlive (that's the only flavor I could find) because it has more protein (20 gm) than the other products, but honestly, why soooo much sugar (20 gms), especially since nutritional guidelines suggest we intake no more than 50 gms of added sugar daily. With corn syrup and glucose as the first few ingredients, I'm assuming all the sugar falls into the "added sugar" category. And at 350 calories, this is no longer a supplement, but an actual meal replacement. Does HMB taste so awful that you need the extra sugar? And how much HMB is in each serving? (Minute amounts as they occur naturally?) Honestly, I wish you would bring back the old Ensure Hi-Protein, especially the Vanilla!

I have been drinking the Ensure Complete Strawberry for years. An excellent product. For some reason they stopped making it and changed it to this inferior product and charge more for it! The taste is gross! The consistency is foamy and thin and leaves a residue on your tongue. Once I finish my supply of the AWESOME Ensure Complete that they discontinued, I'm in a real nutritional bind as I certainly won't be buying this ever again. Don't waste your money on this product.
