My mom is a diabetic, and these particular shakes works well for her when she misses a meal. My mom loves them and won't try any other. It would be great if the price was a little less.

This is a fantastic product! It helps a lot when you need to eat but don' t want to OVERDO it,causing glucose levels to rise unheathly. I started to ensure I ate breakfast, which I had a hard time doing. It has made all the difference in my routine. Glucose levels improved w/ better eating habits

As a senior on a budget. The only negative thing about this product is its price. I need a minimum of one meal replacement per day. This benefits me tremendously. The issue is that I can not afford the minimum 1 shake per day. Example: Hungersmart 16oz meal replacement shakes 12 count retail for $62.49. I need a 3x12 count. that's $187.47 per month. I think most Diabetics would find $187.47 a month unaffordable for a single element of their wellness care.

The chocolate version has more fiber and with a fiber meal (low sugar one); you have yourself a full meal. Depending on your own physique; I am large and 1600 calories to stay fit and lose weight; I apply to for one of my three meals. This keeps my hunger down until the lunchtime. I tried the 8 ounce bottle and was still hungry even with a fiber bar. I like the chocolate taste.

I love this product. we live in AZ on a ranch and I use it first thing in the morning (not a coffee drinker) and that gives me sustained energy until I can eat breakfast around 9 AM. I am NOT a diabetic. I just love it to give me something to go on that does not spike my blood sugar. The nice thing about it is that it tastes like melted chocolate ice cream. no after taste. I think it is the best tasting of all the Glucerna products! I do shop around and this time Wal-Mart had the best price, and it came quickly.

I love Glucerna shakes. Although I buy the strawberry, vanilla and chocolate, my favorite is the chocolate. I have diabetes and I drink a shake every morning at 6am for breakfast. It keeps my sugar in control and fills me enough that I can go up to 5 hours before I need to eat again. The taste is not chalky, nor does it have that gross aftertaste that some shakes have.

I have been drinking Glucerna for many years, several days during the month although I am not a diabetic. I started buying it for my mom and I liked it. She loved it, too. Pricey, which doesn't allow me to buy it for every day. It's my favorite breakfast, with a few saltines. Good amount of fiber and protein, keeps me regular. I can tell my body misses its breakfast the days I don't have this drink. Chocolate became my favorite since they modified the taste of Butter Pecan. Sometimes I buy Strawberry also tasty, or Butter Pecan although not as good as it was before, if there's no chocolate. The only one I can't tolerate is vanilla because it is not my kind of flavor. I also like it for the vitamins it contains, it's nutritious and delicious when chilled. I don't notice that medicine taste many drinks have and I really believe it has helped me to not cross the limit of glucose in blood. When my lab tests show pre-diabetes I try to immediately make Glucerna my everyday breakfast, or evening snack. Please, don't make it so expensive, the price has increased too much recently.

My elderly aunt's doctor recommends that she drinks one of these a day to help balance her small diet, they aren't cheap so costs definitely add up. We often buy several six packs of the chocolate flavor from Walmart and have them shipped, or do curbside pickup, because they are always in stock and priced better than everywhere else. Can't say how many times we've tried to buy them from our other major local groceries and they are out of stock. Package ships quickly and always arrives undamaged. Good product.
