[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the Fall of 2010 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer and had to undergo radiation treatment and chemotherapy. I also had to eat through a feeding tube for months until my throat healed enough to eat with my mouth. I was thin to begin with, but as the treatment wore on I lost more and more weight. One day during treatment the radiologist told me I needed to gain weight, otherwise I might not have enough strength to make it through the treatment. My ENT prescribed Ensure and I started receiving it by the case. He recommended that I "drink" at least 3 bottles a day via my feeding tube - and more if I could manage it. I slowly got healthier and gained weight, and eventually made it though my treatment. So, this is why I say that "Ensure could save your life". I truly feel it did. Well, to cut a long story short, after the feeding tube was removed, I continued drinking it - warm from a can at first! - and then refrigerated. The taste took a little getting used to but eventually I came to love the taste. The vanilla is my favorite! In fact, I'm addicted to it. :-) I still drink 2 or 3 bottles per day to remain healthy, getting the nutrition and calories I need.

It has helped me keep my strength and well being, I am a 79 years old male with old age related issues mainly...Osteoporosis and I drink this product each morning with by breakfast cereal. It has given me more energy and stamina to be able to do yard work etc. I especially love the Enlive for its protein that gives me more energy to do my daily chores and other stuff.

And he now enjoys two frozen bottles a day of Vanilla Ensure Plus!! And it pleases me to know he's getting all the vitamins,minerals and protein in his Ensure. That he would otherwise be missing!!!

This is the only nutritional drink my son will drink and he loves having them. With picky eaters, it's nice to know I can add some nutrients into his diet and he actually enjoys the taste. I also noticed this was the only drink available with no sucralose or other artificial sweeteners. I am unable to have the artificial sweeteners for myself, so unfortunately the High protein and Protein Max drinks are not an option for me, but I would love it if they were to come out with an organic stevia leaf option! So many people have sensitivities to sucralose and sugar alcohol, especially bariatric patients and they are missing out on these great products.
