Camera

The camera's each have to be powered by 120 volt outlet Which really depletes the purpose of wireless

Yes, these cameras need to be connected to a reliable power source but do not need to be hard wired back to the DVR.

Fairly easy setup. Not happy with the clarity of the night vision. cameras keep losing signal. used tech support several times but nothing helps.

Wireless is nice to have.

I bought this unit about a week ago, set up was rather easy. When installing the cameras, remember that the distance is only 500 feet. If you need to go beyond that get a range extender. The video quality is very good for 720 and night time viewing is exceptional. The playback is very easy to control from either the DVR or from Iphone app. The only drawback is the wireless signal interferes with the garage door to router connection. I would recommend this for anyone not needing a large elaborate system.

Good for what they are

I have had mine for about 8 months. In the beginning two cameras had problems, but Lorex was easy to deal with and very fast getting new cameras to me. The 4 channel DVR does not handle 4 cameras well and gives me only about 1 to two frames per second per camera. WI-FI is going through a brick exterior wall and 5 interior walls , total distance 80 ft. Thus motion is very jerky. Resolution is adequate for my purpose. Night vision distance of 120 ft seems to be that or better with reasonable picture quality. I am about to buy another set of 4 as I like the system for the price and I need more coverage.

All cameras go offline periodically

You know the cameras work when they work, good picture etc., but about every two to three weeks all cameras go offline and you have to reboot the unit. I left for a two week vacation and low and behold, cameras offline. Kinda useless to have. Customer service is a joke, so had to wait until extended warranty was in effect, to actually get anything done. Good thing I had it.

Im sorry I bought this

I bought this unit because the display made it look awesome with times stamps and cool features, the rapid recap with time stamps only works with one camera, you need to pay $15 for each additional camera. The remote used to review is SLOW and unresponsive. The video is slow and choppy, the $30 DLink cameras are MUCH better, I can't see the weather (rain or snow) with these. The interface to review is very confusing. I truly regret buying this system, read more about this unit before you buy it.

not worth the money

I bought this last Jan. in June I went away for 6 months. The whole time I was gone two of the cameras didn't work. I couldn't do anything till I got home. I made it home before the warranty was up. took forever to get a hold of them. they say its my cameras. Not sure if there gonna send me new ones yet. Also only one is in color. It's not a good security set.

Don't waste your money!

I bought these camera's to use in my warehouse. This camera system has a severe video lag. I also have to keep resetting recorder, because keep loosing video signal. Another down side is that this system has a separate receiver for the video signal, most of the other wireless camera systems have the receiver built in.

Not user friendly when adding users!

The initial setup was very easy. However when you add users to watch on their iPhones it won't let them have access! There is no manual with this either!
