Streaming Stick + faster than earlier models

Purchased and installed three days ago. Installation of physical components was simple, but I expected a MUCH smoother transition from my previous Roku content-wise. All of the previously installed home screen channels were retained but not in the same order so I had to go through the tedious process of moving them around to my liking. I also have to "activate" channels all over again, which means jotting down codes and going into the computer room down the hall to enter them. Worse, the YouTube channel has required activation three times already - i.e., every day I've tried to watch it . My older Roku(s) never did this. Can't find a solution on the Roku forum. The good thing is that, once activated, YouTube does not kick me back to the home screen in the middle of watching videos as my previous Roku did. Some of the Roku forum entries blame the repeated activation problem on the TV service provider but that is bogus. I know because I use an antenna and don't HAVE a TV service provider (only an internet provider). The new Roku navigates faster than my older model, which is an improvement, but if the product continues to require that I activate YouTube every day it's going to be a deal breaker and I will return it. (Other forum users report having the same issue with Netflix and other channels that I haven't had a chance to use yet, so the problem is probably not confined to YouTube...)

Roku is great

I love Roku, this is our 3rd Roku. One thing, when I was get in to connect it said there was a problem and call this number...I called. I got so far with him and realized he was not trying to connect the Roku but scare me into thinking I had been hacked in my computer and I needed his software to protect my computer and other devices. I hung up. He was gone and Roku worked. I have had a similar experience. I don't know if Roku has anyway to protect predators pretending to be there customer service or what. Otherwise, I really enjoy Roku. It is easy to use, fast. So yeah!

Slow streaming

Even with high speed WIFI and the power assist it sometimes takes forever to watch a movie because you have to allow time for the movie to download. When in the middle of watching a movie it's constantly cutting out to stream...very annoying. How much internet speed do you need to make this work better?

Features and Movies I never expected

I have owned a Roku 2 and 4 for years and never knew the advanced features and capabilities of the newer versions! Ability to save favorites, much faster response times, sharper images, and additional movie and viewing channels that I never found on the previous devices.

Really Wanted This To Be Good

I bought three StreamingStick+es. The first one installed like a dream. The second one was on an older TV, so I ended up having to call Tech Support (not a long wait, explained what I needed to do, and voila!). Then came tonight, when I tried to install the third. Despite two TVs working fine, my account no longer exists. Got kicked out of ROKU's help site three times. So now I have two perfectly-operating TVs (well, two Stick+es and the TVs they are attached to performing as expected) and a worthless piece of plastic, along with a really expensive ROKU TV in a box, which I can't justify uncrating when I no longer exist.

It's okay for new user but didn't fit upgrade need

I own 3 Roku's now. Bought this for the USB to TV connection for power. 1st I LOVE the power button. I always thought the power button was needed so you can shut off the Roku when not in use. Now...mainly bought this for the USB connection for power from TV to reduce the amount of cables I have now behind the TV. Tried the hookup on 2 different TVs and got "Low Power" on both and I would need to plug it in anyway. That defeated the reason why I bought these. So I did send them back the next day. These would be good for a 1st time user though.

Overheating and Low Power issues - Good UI

Since I've had this Streaming Stick+ (Late 2019) it regularly overheats unless I position the stick against an aluminum sheet that works as a heat-sink. It is not directly attached to or over any other heat generating gear so the ambient temp is normal. And although I'm using the included USB wall wart and extension, it regularly has low power warnings. It is still under Amazon's holiday return time so while I'm not holding my breath, I might try another one. I like the way it works, like the real remote (especially as I am not interested in voice assistants) and if powered off it boots pretty quick.

If you value consistent audio, go elsewhere

According to an easy search that we didn't realize we should make before purchase, Roku has had issues with audio distortion for several generations and has made no effort to internally fix the issue. The stated work arounds do not solve the issue. There is no customer service other than a chat with a bot. You have to sign in to use that. Interestingly, after doing so, our system went into complete failure. Controls for the TV stopped working immediately following that service chat, apps had issues loading, audio is still distorting at random. Tomorrow we will go back to Firestick and hope we remember to stay away from Roku products in the future.

Trouble- Remote Keeps Turning TV Off

So I have 2 Roku premiere+ that work great, decided to try the stick+ in my son's room. Free setup I cannot navigate around the screen without turning my tv off. The volume buttons turn it off, the ok button turns it off, the home button turns it off. Simply cannot navigate
