First time purchasing a dslr, really happy with the different modes available. A bit overwhelming at first but do your research and everything starts to make sense.

We wanted a DSLR for awhile and now we have one. We went out to shoot some fall colors in the mountains and the pictures look great. We are very happy with this DSLR and it has a ton of settings and features. I have 2 Canon film cameras that I love and this is our 3rd Canon.

We gave one of these to our daughter on her 30th birthday and she was ecstatic about the great pictures it took and the ease of use. So... when our youngest daughter had her birthday we decided it was a great gift for making lasting memories! This Canon is a great camera!

My husband just loved this birthday gift. He had been borrowing our son’s camera when we traveled. He can’t hardly wait to start traveling again so he can use it!

Great starter camera for people interested in photography. Comes with two great lens. In photography class, so didn’t use DVD. Nice package for the price.

This was my first camera and it is easy to use and takes great pictures.

The first issue (as noted by others) is the 70-300mm lens is actually a 75-300mm lens. Not an issue for me, but others have complained. From a practical point, the LCD is fixed and cannot be tilted etc., but can be overcome by using a cell phone or tablet with app to view from other angles. I use an old android cell phone without a sim card as a dedicated control/LCD unit. I also added 24mm and 50mm prime lenses and a better (larger) camera bag. I find the general feel to be clumsy in my old hands, and the lens release button awkward, both issues overcome with a tripod and my android control. This is a good camera for learning real photography techniques (as compared to tiny format cellphone point and shoot pictures) and I would recommend it for beginners to advanced photography.

the camera was delivered in a box that showed exactly what was being delivered, the box was open but i needed the wide angle lens to take pictures and did so... a couple days later I tried using the telephoto lens but it will not go on and now Sam's is saying they will not cover it and i have to go through Canon... we'll see how this goes but bang up job on standing behind a purchase Sams.
