When fall arrives and football season begins, I buy Ro-Tel cans by the case! With friends and family gathering for holidays, football and all things fall, making a big batch of Chile Con Queso or adding it as a topping to chicken is perfect and always gets rave reviews from party-goers!

I opened my can of rotel, and poured it into my velveeta cheese. As I poured, I noticed something that did not quite look like diced tomatoes. It was a piece of wood! A piece of wood came out of the rotel can! It was not small either, by any means, at least 1’’ by 1’’. As this is unacceptable in a product of food, I give this a poor review.

I’ve been a huge fan of Ro-tel since I was a kid. We’re talking at least 30 years. My complaint now is the inconsistency of the flavor. I always purchase the original and here lately some of the cans are so hot you can’t eat it. Please be more careful in your sorting of peppers.

Looks like quality is having some issues. I just opened a can and didn't think to look in the can before pouring the contents into my tortilla soup I was making. There were no tomatoes, only green juice and green peppers. Not a single tomato. I use Ro-Tel all the time and luckily had other cans on hand which I used, but what a surprise. I took photos of the product as well as the label info and was going to attach the photos, but don't see that as an option.

Every time I use Ro-tel instead of diced tomatoes in any recipe, people rave about the flavor and ask what magical secret I have. Ro-tel is genuinely the best version of canned tomatoes and chilies - the right balance of flavors to enhance recipes without overpowering the flavors of the food.

So good! I have to always have this in my kitchen for nacho and taco night!!❤️❤️Ro Tel Original The mild is my favorite but my boyfriend doesn’t like the “spicy” even tho it’s not that spicy!! Mix with melted Velveeta Original Loaf and a pound of ground hamburger beef! Add some slats sour cream pour over or dip with some tortillas chips!

Ro-tel is the perfect addition to any queso recipe. With a block of velveta and a can or two of Ro-tel you can leave it in the slow-cooker for couple hours and have the perfect dip. I like to add seasoned ground beef and a few more spices, but in the end it wouldn't be complete without Ro-tel.

We have bought Rotel for many years and over the last 1 to 2 years I have gotten cans of original with tomatoes only which was very bland. I gave also gotten cans of medium that were overly hot. It is very disappointing when every fan is now a surprise in what you will get. Please hire your QC department back.

I can handle a little spice but anything super hot will hurt me on the way out. I use rotel original in my chicken tort soup to add a little spice. Been making it for 6 years twice a month. Everyone's mouth was on fire last night. Even my husband who likes spicy was like wow this is hot. Quality control needs to be sampling these batches and maybe diluting them with another to decrease spice in original. I understand peppers can be tricky but is there taste tests once prepared to ensure it doesn't get too hot?

Rotel makes my cooking taste better. I always keep a couple of cans in my pantry. It is very affordable and I add it to my soup to make it tasty. There is nothing that I would do to change the product. I will buy this over and over again. Try it because you will love it
