I opened this can of Rotel tomatoes and green chilies to use in a recipe. I always go through it with a fork to remove the big chunks of tomato cores that are always in there, which I hate. In this particular can, there were a total of 3 tiny pieces of green chili. THREE. In the whole can. So really, all I got was a can of chopped tomatoes.

I have been eating Rotel dip for over 40 years. I make it weekly for snacks during football, card parties, movie nights etc. I always have a stock pile of cans in my pantry. A few months ago I ran out of Rotel cans so I went and bought some more. I made the dip and my family asked what I did different? The Rotel had no flavor! I opened 3 more cans and the same thing. No flavor! It's like eating hot cheese. I don't know what you have done to the Rotel but please go back to your old recipe! Also, how can you call it original if you have changed it? Velveeta cheese cost to much to keep wasting it so I guess I won't be making anymore.

I actually came across this brand when I was reading the recipes inside a box of Velveeta cheese. It is literally the EASIEST cheese dip ever but it tastes AMAZING! For my family, I just use one can of the Rotel and an 8oz block of Velveeta. I chop the cheese into cubes, put it into a small crockpot on warm/low heat, add a can of the Rotel annnnnddd WAIT! In about 20ish minutes you will have a delicious queso dip. I personally like to dip tortilla chips in this but you could really use anything you want. It’s also great over enchiladas or a homemade Mexican rice bowl. I make this dip probably once a month at least and I never get sick of it. Oh and if you don’t have a slow-cooker, the microwave works just as good. I just like how I can keep it nice and warm and melty in the crockpot!

I love how the company came out with my favorite canned tomatoes and made it without all the extra sodium. I have high blood pressure and I would not eat RO*TEL because it was too salty. If I did I would have to rinse it first. Now that there is no added salt I don't have to rinse it. I can pour it out of the can when I cook. Thank you.

They are good canned tomatoes. I love to use them for a dip that I make for my family. They come in small cans so you don’t have a lot leftover. They are like the perfect portion. They have many varieties of these tomatoes. They are a trusted brand in my house.
