[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like this product. I love Nexus and have used them for years. Unfortunately, I can't find much good about this conditioner. I have long hair, past my shoulders. It's always been dry and I expect my conditioner to leave it soft, tangle free and touchable. This conditioner did none of those things. I used it for a week and my hair feels like straw and to make matters worse it looks greasy. I also have had to use massive amounts of conditioner just to get it through the lengths of my hair. At this rate the conditioner will last barely 2 weeks. It was also very hair to rinse out and left my hair a tangled mess. No I could not recommend this conditioner to anyone. I can't really address how well this works to protect color as I have only used it for a week, however there does not appear to have been any color fading.

My hair has changed consistencies and I haven't found anything that's been able to put life back into my hair - until now! The Color Assure Shampoo leaves my hair AND scalp feeling clean, soft, and renewed! Absolutely recommend. I decided to give the Nexxus brand a try after many years of not using. I though prehaps they had improved thier products. Not so. This Color Assure shampoo leaves my hair so dry. Before using I had soft hair full of body and when using this I have stiff dry hair. I am returning it.

I gave this shampoo 3 tries before finally having to toss it (which I didn't want to do bc it is quite pricey). The reason is that it does not rinse out and leaves a gross oily residue in hair no matter how much you wash after lathering. I agree with other similar reviews-It weighed my hair down and made it a disgusting oily mess. Also made my scalp itchy and greasy. My hair ended up looking and feeling dirtier than before I washed it!! Very disappointing.

It came at a great time because I JUST went from bleached blonde to dyed red. Red is a difficult color to maintain and especially on top of bleached hair, which doesn't give a lot for color to hold on to. This conditioner was nice. It smells good and it covers a lot of ground with a small application. It left my hair feeling soft but manageable and didn't weigh it down. It did not bleed any of my newly died color out which can be a problem with conditioners. Overall very nice!

I have been coloring my long hair dark brown for years and always relied on Nexxus Color Assure. Not anymore! This new sulfate-free formula is horrible. I cannot believe a product this bad even made it to the shelf. I've never used a worse product, and I have tried many. I loved the old formula so much! This shampoo left my hair feeling nasty - almost sticky. It did not clean my hair well at all. This should be removed from your product line completely. I was a dedicated Nexxus user but Matrix is getting my business for now.

I received this conditioner along with the matching shampoo free for review through Influenster. After using both products for a week, I decided that they just were not for me. The conditioner was too heavy for my fine hair and left it weighed down and greasy immediately after washing it. I checked the ingredients are I saw that the conditioner has Mineral Oil in the middle of its list. Studies have shown that there's no real major benefits to using mineral oil on the skin or hair, and some studies have shown that the oil can clog pores. This concerns me if you already have naturally thin hair, or have noticed your hair is thinning, as mineral oil does have the potential to clog the hair follicles and potentially cause increased hair fall. But essentially it boils down to personal preference. I personally do not like how mineral oil and other heavier oils leave my hair feeling (castor oil, for example). I feel that if you have thicker hair, or extremely dry hair, you would really like this conditioner. It does have a pleasant orchid scent just like the matching shampoo.

I have to say, whenever I get a pricier shampoo I expect it to work well. My hair was not left clean and it felt dry. I air dry my hair and after using both the shampoo and conditioner my hair looked oily and gross once dried. And the ingredients in this product is HORRIBLE for you! No thanks. Won't even finish the bottle.

I just started using the Nexxus Color Conditioner and love it. Smells great, and it tamed my hair, not weighty. Now I've tried the Shampoo - boo hoo! It feels greasy, weighted down, not vibrant at all. I'm disappointed and was so excited to put the two together hoping to get a great look. Not happening.

I thought maybe I just didn't rinse the conditioner out, so the next shampoo I washed Three Times! And then used No conditioner. My hair still felt like someone had rubbed in a handful of motor oil. It is NOT "weightless" and I'll be throwing away a full 33.8 oz bottle. Nexus should maybe pull this one off the market. My view of the brand has changed now
