No it's not thick or quilted, but it does just as good a job and it dissolves. I'm not having to constantly shout for someone to bring paper. Scott's has enough paper on it to last as long if not longer than 2 ply.

I love that they started individually wrapping the rolls too because they used to be packaged in the big package unwrapped which I did not like so much because I felt that was unsanitary.

We had hoped that it was just a temporary issue due to the supply chain during the pandemic, but they have not corrected it. My husband just keeps buying it because we always have.
