[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The taste was just OK, but it was definitely too thick for my liking. The nutritional values are good, but I was still hungry right after. I would describe this product as a beverage that taste like someone mixed powder with water and didn't mix it very well. Despite shaking the bottle vigorously, it just has an excess powder taste. With all that being said, it doesn't taste bad at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow this drink is really good , I was a little worried about the cookies and cream flavor but I'm definitely surprised at how good it taste. I drank it all in one setting. It's not to sweet and it didn't have that after taste, it's not that "thick" consistency that's hard to drink. Definitely try this i like it right out the fridge.

It was such a hit my son has been requesting I buy these ready to drink instead of the chocolate packets I buy now which would be nice for taking on the go for sure. It keeps my mind at ease knowing that my son will still get some very important vitamins, minerals and protein in his daily shake. I have been buying Carnation for years and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon,I just request that you make the cookies n creme flavor available in the packets please and thank you!

So I thought I would give Carnation Breakfast Essentials - Creamy Strawberry a try. I am so glad I did. It is creamy and the strawberry flavor was just right. I felt more energized and it is great start for a busy day. I would recommend this drink to anybody.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great way to start the day. I’m not much of a breakfast person as far as waking up and eating within the first couple hours. This was not heavy and kept me satisfied. I let my 7-year-old try one as well. He didn’t want to share one and asked for more the next day. He enjoyed it and I enjoyed the fact that it had some valuable nutrients in it. Perfect for on the go. I will definitely be getting more.

The Rich Milk Chocolate flavor was smooth and rich with minimal aftertaste! It reminded me of Kellogg’s Cocoa Krispies breakfast cereal. Eight fluid ounces was the perfect size. With ten grams of protein and only 240 calories, this was a great way to start my day. Additionally, added sugars have been reduced from fifteen grams to only eleven grams per serving. While still more than I had hoped, I’m excited about the progress being made! I’m hoping Carnation releases a sugar free alternative someday. Ultimately, I’d recommend this to anyone, and I can’t wait to buy more!

Have tried all of them except Strawberry. Milk Chocolate is easily the best flavor. And easily the worst flavor has to be the Mixed Berry. It's just terrible. I wish I could get a refund or something, I don't know what to do with the rest of the pack. Whatever you do don't buy the mixed berry.

It doesn't have much of a vitamin taste to it which is good. You can get your nutrition on the go for and age except young children at 240 calories, triple the amount of vitamin D in milk, 10 grams of protein, us vitamins and minerals. It is gluten-free and gives recycling instructions since it is coated cardboard. Sugar ir a bit high at 11 grams. I think they could do a dark chocolate to get away with less sugar, not sure about the milk chocolate I have. It won't doen smooth and creamy, not too thin or thick.
