[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was okay, it’s higher calories / sugar than I would prefer for something with only 10 grams of protein, I don’t know if it’s my preferred choice. However, it would be a decent option if I was in a rush and needed something quick and easy with some nutrients! The flavor is like chocolate milk, a little sweet for me but not bad.

I tried this chocolate Carnation Breakfast Essentials because it's a lot cheaper than the quick nutrition drink I've used for a long time. This is good-especially when really cold--but it's more like chocolate milk than the chocolate shake/malt the other is like. I prefer the thick, rich taste of the other, but because I go through so much of these drinks, I wonder if I should have more of this one, to save money.

I love that I am getting the actual vitamins and minerals that I need and love the taste. The cookies and cream flavor is very good and I enjoyed it very much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this product in the rich milk chocolate flavor. The taste wasn't bad. However, it wasn't that good either. This tasted kinda powdery. I would describe this product as a beverage that taste like someone mixed powder with water and didn't mix it very well. Despite shaking the bottle vigorously, it just has an excess powder taste. With all that being said, it doesn't taste bad at all. I would drink it for the nutritional value alone.

There is not gritty or gross taste it tastes just like chocolate milk, except its healthier and full of vitamins everyone needs. I am not a breakfast person and being a mom of four I hardly have time to sit and have a meal so carnations ready to drink breakfast is ideal for an on the go person!
