I'm so excited that best foods has created this mayonnaise that does not contain soy bean oil because I cannot have soy in my diet and I love there mayonnaise and I hope that they continue to make this new version because otherwise I'm going to have to stop eating mayonnaise.

Hellmann's real mayonnaise is the best mayo. I use it in deviled eggs, egg salad, chicken salad, potato salad, tuna noodle salad, sandwiches, I even use it to make my own dressing's and sauce's. My Mother and Grandmother used Hellmann's, and I use it, my daughter and Granddaughters use it. I love Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise

I’ve been using Hellmans Mayo since I could eat solid foods 63 years ago and I’ve noticed a change over the years. I agree with the former one star review! It’s the plastic! PLEASE PLEASE put it back in glass. Not to mention the ergonomics involved as they are not recycling! I would even by the smaller jar if I could find it in glass. There is a difference!

I have been eating Hellmanns exclusively for over 50 years but the last jar was very different, and not in a good way. Hellmanns has always been nice and thick, staying on my knife or spoon until I placed it where I wanted it. The last jar I bought is noticeably thinner, when moving the knife from the jar to the bread it now slides off the knife if not held just right. The texture is thinner and somewhat slimy feeling in my mouth. I often ate a small spoon in little taste licks, but not any more.It has no body and does not stand up on my spoon. I never used to have a problem with the mayonnaise separating unless I got down near the bottom of the jar and did not need it for a long time. This jar started to separate before less than 1/2 was used. I have to stir it a lot to keep it together, and it falls off the knife on the way to my bread. I will have to explore some other brands, I am so disappointed in what appears to be a major step down in quality.

I expect the new packaging for the Light Mayonnaise was designed and tested by men. I am a healthy adult woman who lifts weights. I am not arthritic. To use your newly designed package, I have to squeeze both sides with all my might, and then I don't get more than a trickle of mayonnaise. It helps somewhat try to clean out the hole. But why should you have to work so hard to begin with. I find this design exasperating. I am ready to stop using the product.

It is by far my favourite brand of store bought mayo! I like the flavour and the texture - it is nice and smooth, spreads easily, not in clumps. I love adding it to sandwiches, tuna or potato salad, or just as a dip for fries. I can't say it is healthy, but it is tasty!
