I have used Hellman's for over 40 years. My mom used only Hellman's. The last two jars were definately different from the Hellman's I have always used. Seems thinner and has an oily taste. My coleslaw is no longer rich and creamy and my family gave it the thumbs down for the first time ever! Please bring back the old Hellman's! My family won't eat any other mayo

The mayo itself is great, but buy it in the glass jar, NOT the plastic squeeze jar. In the squeeze jar, which has a small aperture, the viscous mayo sticks to the sides, so you can only get about two-thirds or less out of it by squeezing it. If you take off the cap, the opening is so small that you can't even use a small spoon to get the rest out, though you could try with a chop stick. I can recommend only the glass jar.

I have been a loyal Hellmann’s customer for more than 50 years. I started noticing that it is not as thick as it use to be. Maybe it’s just for the squeeze bottle? I don’t know, but I do not like the thin texture. It still tastes fine, but makes for a runny potato salad.

What happened to the great taste of my hellman's? I used to loved licked the spoon after I made a salad or the knife after I made a sandwich. The flavor has changed so much that I may try another mayonaise. I have been using Hellman's for over 60yrs.

I really didn't think any thing of this product when I first got it. Just another squeeze bottle for condiments right? Well, I was wrong. Its super easy to get the product out and my kids love to use this when making sandwiches for lunch. No need to get your hands full of mayo when trying to spoon it out of a jar. There is also no mess when opening and closing the lid. Its super easy to use, no fuss, no muss and we all love it!

I've bought this product at least 4 times. I did notice that it was a little thinner than mayonnaise in a jar, but I liked the price and convenience of the squirt bottle. However, this last order is just horrible. The product comes out in a liquid, like cream. It taste like mayo but is runny and not spreadable. Very disappointed. Have used Hellman's for years, but to thin out a product to this extreme is just unacceptable. Guess I'll be switching to Duke's.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving the new bottle design! The new spout works great. It's so much easier for sandwiches. Much less mess! It's even better for traveling and taking to cookouts. The top stays clean too. I can't believe it took this long for a mayonnaise to come out with a squeeze bottle. And of course the taste is the best. Hellmann's is the only brand to buy!

I have ONLY bought your Real Mayonnaise since I married in 1970. It was my family's favorite! Everyone raved about my food made with your Real Mayonnaise. However, I bought some the other day and it was terrible! It had an aftertaste that was all wrong. It ruined the ham sandwiches I made and today it ruined the egg salad I made. What have you done? I see now that many people have complained about this and you haven't done anything about it. Why? I want my tried and true Real Mayonnaise back! (I live west of the Rockies so it is labelled Best Foods here.) I am going to throw it in the garbage today! Now, do I try another jar of your Real Mayonnaise or a different brand? I see America's Test Kitchen / Cook's Country / Cook's Illustrated recommend Blue Plate Real Mayonnaise as the best mayonnaise over your Real Mayonnaise. I never thought I would have to look for another mayonnaise for my family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this new bottle design compared to the old design. I feel that there is less mess and I am able to use all the mayo in the bottle. Hellman's is the ONLY mayonnaise allowed in our house, and that is the consensus of all family members!

I've been a Hellman's fan for 50 years. For the past year I started using Hellman's packets - for convenience. I'd tuck them into a pocket heading to picnics and parties because I hate Miracle Whip so I'd always have trust Hellman's with me. Then I started noticing a cardboard like after-taste and a funny texture lingering on the palate after swallowing. I thought the packets went bad, though there is no date on them and I threw out the box them came in. So I threw them out. Then I opened a fresh bottle of Hellmans. SAME taste and lingering texture! Bottle was fresh, consistency seemed good, I thought it was me. Two weeks later I started noticing a change in the texture of the remaining mayo - it was less dense, not runny as some suggest, but certainly degrading. I did something I rarely do - discarded the bottle before I reached the bottom - it was just getting weird a month after opening (and I like mine cold, so its always refrigerated). I started Googling around and there are MANY people complaining of the same issues (though more complaining about soupiness which I can't say I've experienced - or not as badly anyway as texture did change). This never happened in the years I've been using the product - going to start seeking alternatives.
