Safety always first!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's never too much or too late to add safety features to your home specially in the kitchen with fire hazards. In our case my sons are cooking more now and better be safe than sorry specially if experienced adults not around. The Kidde 1A10BC Basic Use Fire Extinguisher is the answer for us to have by the kitchen. We placed ours by laundry room door right next to kitchen which has 2 way access to it. Packaging is sturdy holding extinguisher in, lots of info on packaging pamphlet inside and wall mount holder for it included. The wall mount holder instructions was easy to follow but make sure you screw on a stud since extinguisher is a bit heavy. We hope to never be in the position to use the Kidde 1A10BC Basic Use Fire Extinguisher it but I'm sure with ever we need to we'll be fine performing as fire department is called. Better safe than sorry!

The fire extinguisher is made from lightweight aluminum, it features a tough nylon valve assembly to direct extinguishing agent towards the fire's source. The pressure gauge of this 2.5 lbs fire extinguisher is easy to read, letting you know if the device is ready to use. An easy-to-pull safety pin lets you act quickly while clear, illustrated instructions demonstrate the correct operating technique. The Kidde 1A10BC is suitable for use on Class A (trash, wood, and paper), Class B (liquids and gases) and Class C (energized electrical equipment) fires. The best 'at home' fire extinguisher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very happy to be able to review and get a Kidde ABC Basic fire Extinguisher for my home. I have an old one which I've thankfully never needed to use. Having another one just raised my piece of mind another 50%. This one is small and easy to keep in a handy spot. I recommend the same spot whether it's attached to the wall or not. (It does come with a wall mount). It's like a flashlight. You do not want to have to hunt for it when you need it! Don't move it around. It's ideal for home because it handles all common home fires except cooking grease. Read the instructions so you know how to use it. As I age and my home ages I try to stay on top of everything. But accidents happen. This might prevent a full-blown fire and it's so economical and easy to have around. I think it's a necessity for all homes along with good smoke alarms.
Good quality.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We lucked out when a small kitchen fire went out on its own while we were out. But it still left our home unlivable for several days. Since then, I'd learned 12 years is the limit for an unused extinguisher. So, when I checked the tag to find our fire extinguisher had reached the 12-year mark, we realized we needed to get a new one. And this extinguisher is great. It is big enough for a significant household fire before it gets entirely out of hand. It uses ammonium phosphate, which works well on fires with fuel from wood, paper, fabrics, liquids, electrical fires, and more. It weighs under four pounds, so it's easy to move and to use, even in a stressful, emergency situation. To use, you just pull it off the rack (included), and grasp the large metal ring to pull the pin out. Take a breath first, if able, and, then, squeeze the handle while pointing it at the base of the fire. Quick bursts are probably best. I've once had to use an extinguisher, like this one, when a neighbor's car engine caught on fire. One press of the lever and the fire went out immediately. When the Fire Department arrived, they thanked me, saying it was exactly what was needed. Be the person the Fire Department thanks, rather than the one they console.
Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome product with multiple uses. I keep this one by my wood stove just in case I need it. I would recommend this product to everyone. I'm going to put one of these in several other rooms.
Great fire extinguisher.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy with this Kiddie Fire Extinguisher. It a Dry chemical fire extinguisher. It is a good size and comes with clear and easy to follow instructions. I read the easy to read instructions and tested it. It was easy to use, lightweight, only 2.5 pounds and can be mounted. It is small and thin, great to store in my kitchen and have on hand for an emergency. It is bright red, easy to identify and I am so happy to have it and recommend it.
Good for 12 years!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I choose this fire extinguisher for several reasons, but my main two are: 1) It is made by Kiddie, a trusted fire extinguisher brand name 2) It encompasses A -B-C fires It is in a heavy-duty metal container and is larger than the ones that I already have in my house. This Kiddie fire extinguisher has everything you should look for when purchasing one. It UL listed, it is UL rated as A-B-C, which will put out any fire type you encounter and you don’t have to worry if you have the “right” type of extinguisher for the type of fire you have. As with any fire extinguisher, I would use the PASS (pull, aim, spray, sweep) method to use. Directions are on the cylinder. It has a very nice required gauge so that I can check every month to ensure it still in the green and within limits to use if needed. Best part: It is recommended to replace every 12 years. I don’t have to worry about replacing my fire extinguisher every 1, 3 or 5 years. This one lasts for 12 years! People often overlook the need for this home safety item, and hopefully would never need to use, but to me, the peace of mind to know I have one in the event I do need to put out a fire before it does life threatening damage, is worth its weight in gold.
Safety First
As far as I know they're good. I plan on taking them to the fire department to have them checked. I purchased two for my home and two smaller ones for our vehicle's. Family is the most important thing so why not invest in something that could help save their lives God forbid you ever have to use them.
A Must Have for every home
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fire extinguisher is great for every home. With the different class uses it pretty much can be used for any type of fires. I like that it came with a bracket for hanging on wall. Easy to use instructions right on the extinguisher. The guage is easy to read so you know that it's fully charged and ready to use. Hopefully I never need to use it but it's nice to have a peace of mind that it's there and ready to use. Has a long warranty and I know from experience Kiddie extinguishers last a long time. I wouldn't buy any other brand. I would recommend writing date on extinguisher that it was purchased because you would be surprised how long these last but they do need to be replaced after about 10 years..
