[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the Gillet Mach3, I was left with wanting my other razor. I find the handle a bit small and the shave isn't as close as what I'm used to. For the first time in I don't know how many years, I have a 1 1/2 inch scratch from the razor just under my jawline. This could be because I'm just not used to the feel, so I hope to have a better review with a few more shaves. It wasn't a very smooth shave; however, it did do well in tight spaces like around my nostrils.

Pitiful longivity is WHAT you can expect nowadays with Gillete Mach 3 refills. Been loyal to this brand & particular blade since it's release in mid 1998, however, I can no longer expect them to deliver a crisp smooth shave after 1 or 2 uses as before. Yeah I get it, I'm getting OLD & things change but .... I'm very systematic with using warm water to cleanse / clean the blades before setting them to dry face up in the razor stand. There is a lot of joy when shaving with a NEW blade but forget that experience after the 2nd. shave & that alone raises the cost of using them out of my bathroom entirely. They just simply don't last very long anymore !!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette Mach3 provided a very good shave, however to achieve a really close shave I had to go over the same spots multiple times. To its credit the lubrication strip allowed me to do multiple passes without any noticeable redness or chafing. The feel of the razor seemed a bit ‘light’ but that could be due to me being used to a much sturdier and heavy razor. As for the longevity of the blades, I have used it five times so far and the fifth shave seemed to do just as good a job as the first. Overall the Mach3 provided as good as or slightly better shave then comparable three blade razors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette Mach 3 razor outperforms any close-shave razor I've tried so far. The first thing I noticed when handling the razor is the weighted metal handle with rubberized grips; It feels absolutely great in your hand. I have very coarse facial hair and most razors tug at my hairs even when using cream or gels. The Gillette Mach 3 did not tug on my hairs or create any irritation whatsoever. The lubrication strip on the razor applies a slick and defending layer that allows you to make a very comfortable second pass on coarse hair if needed. The blades made a very close shave and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend buying the Mach 3 whether you shave every day or even only intermittently.

I have been using mac 3 Razors for 5 years I shave my head and face every other day. They have worked amazing. However recently as of 6/1/2025 they changed the lubricating strip. I have had more cuts (one deep cut on my hear) in the two weeks of the new razors than I had in 5 years of using the old razors

I’ve been able to get a lot of shaves out of it and it usually only takes one pass for a nice close shave. If you want a close shave and a long lasting blade I highly recommend this razor.

I have been using it everyday for about two weeks and it still shaves as close as the first day I used it. I didn't have any breakouts or allergic reaction at all, and sometimes I am sensitive to razors. I was very pleased with this razor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the coolest razor I've used in my whole life. With the Mach3 there is no more banging your razor on the edge of the sink. Beard people know exactly what I am talking about. No more putting tissue when you get cut because you don't even have to press down for it to work. Smooth as a babbies butt.... Five stars 4ever.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Time to switch razors.. I decided to switch to the Gillette Mach 3 and wanted to give a little more than 2cents. I had approx 4-5 days of growth , so here's the verdict. I lathered up grabbed the Mach 3 and was ready to attack this growth. At first, the razor glided through the beard without snagging and this was a plus for me. But as I made some headway through shaving, I did notice a few key things. The beard was not coming completely off. I do not have a thick beard but it was about 4 maybe 5 days of growth. I had to go back and hit the area another 3 to 5 times so it was clean and neat. This was true for the rest of the face as well. The upper lip area seemed to come off somewhat easier so this was only a 2-3 passes to completely clean it up. I will say the lubrication strip was really plentiful and left somewhat of a nice softness to the skin and didn't get sticky. So my initial review of the first use was not too favorable, it felt like it was more work than it was worth. But I will not let this deter my trying out this Mach 3 razor for another round.
