[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time using this razor and I'm quite impressed. I'm so accustomed to the occasional nick here and there but the shave with this razor is so smooth, I think those are a thing of the past. I feels very sturdy in the hand and actually has a bit of weight to it which I really like. New blades are easy to install. My only and very minor comment is that the trimmer blade on the backside could be slightly smaller which would make it really great for getting at those tough to reach / more precision areas.

These are all FAKE COUNTERFEIT blades...Do not buy...all mine were dull dull dull, I could not even shave with them without tearing up my face. I called Gillette and they informed me every blade they make has a laser etched ID number behind the lamellas on the blade frame (one letter and four numbers on the left and right sides, respectively. These have no numbers. I should have know when they did not come in the original packaging. Tried all 16 and threw away all 16. They also do not come from Walmart, they are from different vendors. Never again

Wow the Gillette fusion has to be the best shave by far ,I compared it against the king of shaves razor and it was a terror lee shave plus didnt have that all important 5th blade on the front end for the detail. I think the fusion has been very well though about and even tho the blades are over priced its worth it for an amazing experience from Gillette .

We got this razor for my husband to try. With the multiple blades, we were happy to see a close shave that didn't take too long. The trimmer was nice, although not something that he will use often. We only wish that there was a cover for the trimmer as he did knick himself when moving the razor from his face to the sink. As well, with the multiple blades, he did find that he had to rinse the razor more frequently to keep it from clogging.

I've been using Gillette Fusion5 blades for YEARS. They used to be the very best out there. The recent change to the plastic/rubber around the blades on the heads is terrible. It causes too much friction/drag, and prevents the blades from getting close enough to the skin for a close shave. This makes you use more pressure to get the blades closer, forces you to shave over the same spot over and over, and results in MORE cuts, not fewer. And you STILL don't have results as good as they used to be. Please go back to your old design or at least rethink the new one. I am searching for something new now after almost 20 years, because these are just plan unusable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My friends son just graduated from high school and in a couple months he heads off to the navy, so the wife and I decided to give him useful gifts. We gave him an assortment of toiletries including a gillette fusion razor with cartridges. This will be his first razor and I figured if it worked so well on my tough beard it can work for a beginner as well. Even though he's getting ready to serve our country he boldly stated as he opened his gift "I am a man, for I have a razor". Thanks gillette for helping young men feel like a man.

I started using the Fusion when it first came out and I loved it. I told everyone about it, how I would get 2 months of great shaves and only changed cartridges because I felt I ought to. Then I received my latest batch of cartridges, the black ones. Ugh they were horrible. I got a better shave from my 2 month old cartridge than I did the new black ones. I am finally on my last one and will be looking for something different. You had something great and then you changed it!

I like the manual fusion more than any razor I've ever tried. I don't see the point in switching to a power model because the manual is more cost effective and gives me everything I want. I get a quick, smooth shave every time and really long life out of each blade.

The five blades ensure a very precise shaving experience, I have never experienced a smooth clean shave like this without cutting myself. I love the way the razor dispels already shaved hair when flipped backward against the skin without a cut on the skin. I just can't stop running my hand over my chin just to assure myself that it was real. I am spreading the word for family and friends to give it a try...I have no doubt they would love it!
