I used to buy Ranch Style beans when I lived on the West Coast. I'm back to my Yankee roots in the Northeast and I haven't seen them at my local grocers. They might be there, but I haven't seen them. While browsing the Sam's site for different food I came across these beans. If you've never had them get some. Instead of delicious but over the top sweetness they have a Tex-Mex flavor akin to red enchilada sauce. The beans are tender but not mushy. They are seasoned perfectly, not too salty. You can add hot peppers/sauce to them to make them hotter, but I like the fact that they're not too hot. Most people will be able to handle the heat level. For you preppers this is probably the most delicious emergency food you can eat straight out of the can. I just love them, they're that good! Good price here at Sam's too.
