Not sure if I was just unlucky but the noise it produced wasn't a regular loud fan noise. It was clinky, it was new but sound like a 10yrld fan that once was good. Also purchased the smaller all black model, and honestly, the air both pushed aren't too far off from each other, big one product just a tad bit more but the smaller one had a normal constant fan noise at each 3 levels. Going to get another small one and send this one back. Also, the design of the fan on the website doesn't match what you'll be getting. Same fans but they actually send you the newest one that's just really a design change, nothing more.

I stopped in Sam's to get a room sized AC but they were out of the one I went for. I saw these Lasko fans for +/- $85 w/ tax. I'm staying in a mobile home with blinky AC. I'm tired of buying $29 - 39 fans every year that blow hot air sparingly. I bought one Lasko that day and ordered another one that night. Nice cold air, powerful enough to do some good.

I've bought a lot of different types of fans but this one is going to be my forever fan. This fan is powerful and moves a lot of air, plus it is relatively quiet for the amount of air, that is the problem with my others fans, they make to much noise. I found myself using this fan for everything. I will buy two more so I don't have to keep moving around, even used it on my patio, wind speed keeps insects away and I have a comfortable breeze. Wish I had tried this fan long ago, always pass by it and feel it in Sam's Club just never thought of it as a regular fan, it truly is a multi purpose wonder.

It really does push a lot of air, but it emits a high-pitched whine that is quite annoying. At low speed. At higher speeds, it's just too loud. It is not too loud for a garage fan, but I wanted it for my lanai to push some air around while sitting outside.

I got this for our garage and pool deck, just to push air through so those areas wouldn't be stagnant. Ended up using it inside as well! This fan with its multiple features and settings is where it's at. Even the kids and dogs love it. Standing in front of it and hogging all the amazing air flow!

I bought this about fam about 5 weeks ago ans Wow!!! Love it!!! It cools and is as xold as a window unit. We have been using it on our sunroom and cools off quick. Have actually used it inside a lot and it has allowed us to bump up are a/c. I would buy again and again. I highly recommend!!

I brought this a month ago air blows out good not noise at all. Just blows in one direction doesn't circulate air all around u in multiple areas. I was looking for something outside for pinic to blow really good wouldn't recommend out doors more of in door building type fan

We bought fans like these 15 years ago, they finally died so we picked up 2 more. They are worth the money. My husband uses one in the garage to stay cool when working on projects or on our patio deck. Everyone comments on how cooling they are and have purchased some after viaiting our house.

I have an earlier version of this same fan and it rocks - pushes a lot of air and is NOT noisy for the amount of air it pushes. This version is TERRIBLE - it is WAY TOO LOUD. It is unbelievable how much noisier this one is. I am taking it back. Not worth the money.

There is no substitute for a squirrel cage fan. The power of this fan is great and is completely adjustable vertically. The fan is light, has a small form factor which is easily storable. You should know that a squirrel cage fan's airflow is confined to a pretty narrow band. This can be great when trying to really cool off in the heat, you have to sit pretty close together to get the breeze. My wife and I solved this problem by getting two fans; one for each of us. The two fans stack easily on top of each other in our shed.
