Gave the fan a one star due to not being able to clean the fan. You can take a vacuum with a brush attachment and clean the intake grills. The drum inside was super filthy but after getting passed the snake eye safety screws, there are more screws inside the fan which is not accessable due to the drum. And you can't take out the drum until you get those inside screws out. What a pain!! See any videos or threads about cleaning a Lasko pivoting fan? Because no one cleans it.

This fan cools down a room in minutes! I love it. But it was shipped in its original box. No outter box. So as it was delivered while I was at work, it basically sat on my doorstep for all to see. I'm thrilled with the product but disappointed in the shipping.

Beware that the item number is correct but this model number is not the same model number on the box in the store. This picture is not what you will be getting. The item in the store is smaller then this one. Just an fyi to all. I just found this out when I went to pick mine up. This is the last model, new model are in stores but smaller.

This fan puts out A LOT OF AIR. That's the good part. The bad part, it's louder than a CFM-56 turbofan at takeoff power. It's got a hum that's at a the brown note frequency. I'm partially deaf from working around jets but can't ignore this fan. It's tone literally made me nauseated.

I bought a couple of the 2017 year model of this fan and they work great and are powerful. I went to Sam's club a month ago, and was very disappointed and surprised to see that the NEW model is smaller and not as heavy ... and not strong compared to last year model. I guess Lasko is trying to save some money making a cheap version ... and selling it as same product. I hope others comment on this too, I saw someone else mention it , so we are giving you a heads up, last years model was Superior in every way.

I have bought 4 of these big boys over the past 4 years. They really move air and are very study. I use them in my basement and only have 1 complaint. They are very loud and they went up $5 on the price. If not for these 2 things, I would give this fan a 5 STAR rating!

If you can find one of these, buy it! Check the number though, cause there are others that look similar- I can't vouch for them! If you want a fan that blows like a hurricane- turn it on high! Moves TONS of air! Only has 3 speeds, but that's ok. Also has two extra outlets built in (10 amp max) for say -a radio and light! I guarantee if the ac goes out- you'll want one of these! Fan rotates so you can dry the floor or the ceiling- or anywhere in between! Plus it is not very heavy and easy to carry. Just buy it already!! Lol.

Lasko has been around and makes a great fan. I have and old one we use in the garage to circulate the heat from the car out of the garage. It's old but works great. With our weather being 102+ I bought 4 more to place through the house to move the cool air around. I'm impressed with how quiet the new ones are and love them. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it made a whir sound. I let it run hoping it would go away. I may not have noticed it if I didn't have the other two fans running that are practically silent. Took it back and replaced it with another one that was worse. Again if I didn't have the other 2 I might not have noticed. It's nothing major but it did bug me. I would still buy this fan again.

I've been lusting after one of these in my heart for a couple of years now. I've got a couple-three room air circulators that do a decent job; but, walking past these Laskos at a Sam's Club really makes you take notice... So, I finally gave in to my baser impulses and bought one. I only wish I'd done it sooner. A single one of these is sufficient to produce a cool breeze throughout my 'great room' living room with 25' vaulted ceiling, while pointed straight up. It even knocks down dust from those hard-to-reach (on a 16' ladder) uppermost areas. Small footprint with side intake means you can tuck it out of the way in a corner or behind a couch. Cons: I wouldn't consider it any less 'silent' than any other room circulator I've ever owned, and neither noisier nor quieter than the ones on display at Sam's. I don't know what those other reviewers are on about... The simple fix: Turn up the volume on the TV and your wife, or else nod your head a lot, as though you understand every word she's saying. I find that affecting a look of pensive consideration helps lend a certain verisimilitude to the gesture. Your mileage may vary. If this fan doesn't do the trick for you, mebbe you don't have a trick worth doing. I only hope my old circulating fans will understand, relegated to smaller bedrooms and laundry...

I most definitely recommend this product, it is very quiet even at a low speed, produces a strong wind flow. Normally I use at the same time with my air conditioner to cool the house even faster. This utility fan is excellent to exhaust hot air and unwanted offensive odors from the house, such as fish.
