literally best pencils on the market. I send the little extra every year on these and for great reasons. The eraser works great and doesnt turn black leaving smudges. They sharpen evenly, and write smooth.

The pencils were out of the original packaging. This was for my daughter for first grade.. well at least all pencils were there. Maybe better luck next time

There are no better pencils than Ticonderoga. They are always a little more pricey but they are worth every penny! Walmart offers them at the best price so I stock up before school and usually about the halfway point.

The pencils are great, we've been buying them for school the past couple of years. Strange thing, when the box arrived today the bottom was open and one pencil was missing.

Teachers require this brand because the lead does not break quite as easy as the other cheap brands. With cheap brands, a kid sharpens their pencil and the lead breaks easily so they have to resharpen their pencil.

While they are significantly more expensive than most %232 pencils, they write smooth and make it easy for kids learning to write. I would recommend for lower grades.
