Take it from a teacher, don't skimp. Or else your child will just be breaking off lead right after sharpening, or having an off centered lead, or the plastic decorative outer layer that sticks in the sharpener. Ticonderoga are THE name in pencils for a reason.

These are the best pencils available. As retired teacher, I purchased these for my classroom because they didn’t break like the other brands. In addition, they didn’t damage my our pencil classroom sharpener. The cheaper pencils destroyed several sharpeners before I decided it wasn’t worth the using the the other pencils. As a grandmother, I now purchase these for my grandchildren.

If you don’t already know these pencils are considered the worlds, best pencils, and they really are. We all know that other pencils are very bad in quality, and every time you were to sharpen them, they always turn out to break. But with these pencils, we know that they are amazing and will always last long.

This is an item for my kindergarten child to take to school for her school supply list. I appreciate this brand of pencils over others and they are sturdy, don't split, and I love the way the erasers work so smoothly. Highly recommend. These pencils come unsharpened. Note: there are others that already come sharpened for a higher price.

These are a classic, I remember being told a story about them in Middle School. My kids teachers requested them and they've been using them well so far! They sharpen well and the sharpened point keeps its writing abilities well after its become semi-blunt.

As a retired teacher, I have a lot of experience with various brands of cheaply made pencils %26 I can tell you we were always happy when students came to school with Ticonderoga pencils instead of off brands. They sharpen quickly and smoothly whereas cheap ones grind way down because the lead is not centered correctly. Sure, they cost more, but one Ticonderoga can outlast several cheap pencils so they’re more cost efficient in the long run. This is the only brand I buy for personal use.

Honestly, these were only purchased because they were specified on back to school shopping list. I thought that all pencils are the same but they wanted this particular brand. Some use so far and they are holding up well though. I like that erasers actually work and don't jjust smudge

I thinks that the price could be a little better, but the product is great.

Teacher ask for the brand. And Walmart had the best price for it.
