No minty aftertaste. Truly the best tasting Stevia

I tried Stevia several years ago and hated it, it had a weird minty taste and I didn't think it went well with Anything! To be honest I read through about a hundred reviews of Stevia in the Raw before I bought it. Amazing! So far it works great for hot coffee, home made hot chocolate and tea. No discernable aftertaste, and just one is enough. I haven't had much luck with sweetening smoothies with it though - is it the fruit, or because it's cold? I don't know but I've put up to 6 packets in a 32 oz smoothie and can't tell they are in there. Honey is great for that though so I guess we'll just keep doing it that way.

Great Value. Great Product

I will continue to buy Stevia in the Raw as long as Sam’s will stock it; it is a good tasting, more healthy artificial sweetener. There are only two ingredients; Dextrose, which is a plant based sweetener of less than one gram, and Stevia Leaf extract. It dissolves well, tastes good, and is a good value.

Misleading name and ingredient list

The ingredient Label does not disclose the % stevia and % dextrose. The amount of sugar (dextrose) is more concerning to me than the number of calories. When comparing products, I want to know the percent or weight of the stevia in the product to help me make an informed purchase decision. Unfortunately, this information is not disclosed.

Sweetness without punishment!

A lot of pure Stevia can easily be bitter, this is not too bad and doesn't create intestinal distress like a lot of other sweeteners. And many products that are being marketed as Stevia are blended with other additives that can severely impact digestion. And this doesn't have any carbohydrates. I was shocked to see after reading labels that many of the calorie free sweeteners have carbs!

Great Taste

Weaning off the Equal which is very unhealthy for you. Stevia in the Raw is the best choice in my opinion. This has to be ordered online as our club doesn't carry the Raw, just the one with another artificial sweetener added to it. Which doesn't make sense, if your trying to do natural.

Love the dispenser on the side of the box

My husband loves stevia and this brand tastes good. The price for the quantity of packets in this box is economical. Love the handy dispenser on the side of the box so I can remove as much as I want without opening the whole box. Box sets well on my countertop.

Safer sweetener.

This is the only zero calorie sweetener that does not have possible health consequences, so I am willing to pay the extra. The other sweetener that claims to be Stevia is not Tru, it is mostly an alcohol sugar, erythritol, which has been recently associated cardiovascular events.

As good as it’s competitor at half the price!

I tried this as an alternative to Truvia and don’t plan on changing back. It works in anything from coffee or tea to baked goods. And it’s half the price of Truvia for the same amount. I prefer sugar for cooking, but Stevia works well when trying to replace some of the regular sugar in recipes to save calories.

Sweetness without aftertaste; very much sugar-like

This is an excellent sugar substitute. For my personal taste preference, it takes at least 2 packets to sweeten an 8 oz cup of coffee and 3 packets for a 10 oz cup. Unlike the different brand (Truvia) that I used until recently, "Stevia in the Raw" doesn't leave an aftertaste and also seems to be a little bit coarser ground. I prefer this granular form than powdery because the other brand would almost form a "Stevia mist" when I opened the packet thereby causing it to be accidentally inhaled. Overall, I like this much better than the other versions of stevia based sweeteners that I have tried.

Best Artificial Sweetener

As a disbetic I am concerned about sugar intake. Stevia in the Raw is plant based and helps me to maintain control over my glucose levels. I only wish that my local Wesley Chapel Sam’s. Club would bring this product back to the shelves so I don’t have to order on line from Sam’s.
